Even when you love something to death, guaranteed it will be the last thing you want to do sooner or later, but those are the days that make the difference. I remember now why people hate hills; today felt tough on the bike and has told me I have much work to do. Unfortunately, just thinking about hill reps isn’t going to change anything so I have to be out here getting it done. However far behind or ahead you think you are, if you’re in love with the process, you’ve already won.
Berry bliss bowl🍇 after scrolling through my feed yesterday reflecting on how I've changed and developed over the years, I realized I haven't made a smoothie bowl in way too long. So here it is, my classic favorite berry bowl with a twist. I love banana based smoothies bowls, but sometimes I just want something lighter, so I bulked it up with Zucchini, more berries, and Spinach to add in those extra nutrients and antioxidants🙌 topped it off with some healthy fats to keep me fueled and this breakfast kept me full for hours! I'm jumping back on the whole foods train for the remainder of August and kickstarting healthy habits as summer outings have slowly become a little too frequent 🙈 comment below your favorite healthy come back foods, I would love to hear 👇👇
I have been using @hrv4training as a useful gauge to see if I am carrying too much training stress, or if I just need to #htfu and deal with it. It’s a fine line! When you first wake up, you fire up the app and let it take your pulse by holding your fingertip over the camera flash. It measures your resting heart rate, but also your heart rate variability. More variance means less stress, and gives you a recovery score and a recommendation to proceed with training or not. It also lets you track lifestyle data. As you can see, I imbibed a bit of alcohol on Saturday night. I now can definitely see the negative effect of that on my training quite clearly! Check out their excellent blog explaining all of the science behind the app! #trainingtips#trainingtuesday - by @shredchic
Rolling out of the prison gates 😂
I do enjoy cycling without all the bags on, once I get used to it.
But I'm leaving Lisbon now, time to crack on and start moving as it's been pretty slow going since leaving Porto.
And I need to work off all the vegan food I've scoffed 😏
JUMPING FOR JOY CAUSE TODAY'S MY 2 YR VEGANIVERSARY 🙌💕
If you asked me the sole best decision I've made in life it's to become vegan, cause heck who doesn't love saving animals lives and the environment day to day?! (plus feeling amazing and so many other benefits) BUT I VLOGGED IT ALL FOR YOU GUYS - and will be up this week 🎥 check out big world small bag on YT for more content and adventures!
“Where Do You Get Your Protein?” Salad! Guess I’m feeling a little sassy today! 💁🏻♀️ 🥗🌱
You may recall in a previous post that my coach asked me to up my protein levels. So, this salad was inspired by him. With 15 grams of plant powered protein, this one not only should make him happy but it made my tummy happy! 💪🏻✨🌱
And, in case your are curious ... I currently get somewhere between 60 to 70 grams per day without much difficulty on a calorie restricted diet (losing weight for the Maratona next year). 🚴🏻♀️⛰🚴🏻♀️⛰
Here’s the recipe ... definitely worth a try! 😋😋😋
16 oz Frozen Broccoli Florets (Defrosted)

Here to inspire you with not only my words but most importantly, with my actions. Grinding up Waipi’o Valley’s 40% gradients teaches me to really work for something. Making it to the top of this climb takes all your energy. Not an inch is given. It’s all yours to get.
Full video of mine and @cyclingspirit experience cycling up Waipi’o valley is now up on YouTube. Link to the video is in my bio! Thank you @kingkongfilms for filming clips!
