Thing is.... this looks great but I fucked my recipe up and it was too dry. Just so you know Chefs make mistakes too.
Gonna try again tomorrow and hopefully learn from it. The thing is to admit to them and try to fix stuff or to do something different so you don’t make the same mistake twice. And we all fuck up basically. 🙋🏻♂️
You may not know it yet but this guy is about to put an amazing special on @the78barandkitchen There’s also a gluten free treat waiting to go out on the bar and the Japanese specials this week have been awesome. It’s a treat seeing all my chefs make delicious things and learning from them. All my guys are smashing it just now and I really appreciate them like fuk and hope you guys dontoo when you eat their food. Anyway. We are slowly getting there with all the menu stuff and also fitting out a proper kitchen so we can do more amazing vegan shit. A magical spread made from the first visit to a local Farmer's Market. For the first time, I was able to savor the real flavors of a raw, organic vegetable! The cherry tomatoes were as sweet as candy and the peaches I bought fell right off the pit. If you've never been to your local market, I hope this post can encourage you to make the trip and spend a few extra dollars just to give those natural flavors a try! If not for the veg, just go for the experience. Such a joyful atmosphere with lovely, hardworking people to talk to and bond over beautiful food!
So ✨ABRA-FRICKIN-DABRA✨A magical spread of veg. Ratatouille filled with plump zucchini, eggplant, sweet red pepper, and topped with roasted chickpeas and those candy tomatoes I was raving about; bursting with hints of thyme and garlic for an explosion of juicy flavor. Paired with crispy sun-flax bruschetta; atop a creamy, garlic white bean mash, sauteed swiss chard and red onion and finished with pan seared cherry tomatoes.
