Fusilli (because elbow macaroni is not available) soup on a hot afternoon.
I didn't know coco milk can be used to cook our traditional snack. I used to think it's too sweet. Besides, I don't like the small lumps it forms when boiling. But it all worked, thanks to God's wisdom and the help of #CarpPatis .
2 heads of garlic, crushed and minced (save one clove for stock)
2 onions, chopped
2 shiitake mushrooms, better if just sliced (optional)
1 baby cabbage, chopped
1 small carrot, julienned or diced
1 bowl of water
2 cups of vegan fish sauce (we use carp patis)
1 pinch salt
1/2 bag fusilli (corkscrew) pasta
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 cup of coco milk, 1st press
1 cup of coco milk, 2nd press
1. Sautee garlic and onion in water for about 5 minutes.
2. Add the shiitake mushrooms.
3. Add 1/2 cup of vegan fish sauce, just so the saltiness will stick to the mushroom. Stir well.
4. Pour in the bowl of water and put it to a boil. Add a cup of vegan fish sauce, a teaspoon of garlic powder, the crushed clove of garlic, and salt to taste.
5. While the stock is boiling, add the fusilli pasta and let it cook until it's chewy enough. To find out if the pasta is chewy, taste a piece every 3 to 5 minutes.
6. When the pasta is soft enough, add the cups of coco milk, the carrot, and the cabbage. Then pour in the remaining 1/2 cup of vegan fish sauce. Stir well.
I know I’m super crazy with my lifestyle and I’ve made many changes in such a short amount of time. I’m so amazed of how far I’ve come when everyone around me didn’t believe in me. I’ve suffered with an auto immune disease for most of my life and I never felt happy or satisfied because no matter how far I got this disease always pulled me back into a dark place. I was in constant pain, I had nothing in me that gave me the will power I have today, I was soooo sick and depressed. I want to show people that this shouldn’t be something that’s going to hold them back. Whatever comes in your life you have to fight it on your own. You have the strength inside you to fight it and until you find that strength you have to keep searching inside because no matter what life gives you it is happening for you, it’ll shape who you are and it will create peace in your life. This handful of medicine was what I had to take EVERYDAY!! Not once in a while, but for the rest of my life. I had to take this medicine that would never heal me it would just be something to cover up the disease. Was I angry and pissed off at myself and the world, yes! I hated myself and I hated life in general, I felt as though I was never given a chance, not realizing you can change your life within minutes. I would ask “why me” everyday, but after time I knew I had to change myself first. I’ve been on my vegan grind for awhile now and I AM SO HAPPY I can’t even put it in words. This disease taught me so much and I might sound crazy for saying this but WOW Im so blessed to have this disease. I take 0 medication and I feel healthy inside and out. I’m not pushing you to go vegan, I just want to let you know anything is possible and you just have to fight your own demons. Give me some time to heal myself and I’ll make sure I help you do the same for yourself. Healthy lunch post run and pre 2 classes . I know I’m not the usual yoga teacher as I don’t post lots of poses and class pics but I will maybe soon . Think it’s important to get message out that that yoga is a way of life - the way you live , eat , interact with other beings us just as important as being bendy and strong . Lunch today was a tub of high protein hummus with spring onions and salad topped with protein rich chai seeds with some spicy salad dressing drizzled over. Cheeky trek bar after with metabolic boosting green tea . 🇱🇷 Most people walk around with beer in their hand - I walk around with a smoothie🤩👍🏻 I went to a festival a few weeks ago and I feared it a little, because I knew you couldn’t bring your own food - What to do?!🤯 .
I wrote an email to the organizers and I found out it was possible to buy smoothies that were true to the @medicalmedium protocol (watch out for the smoothies you can buy which is blended with juice from concentrate or juice with added sugar). So the smoothies really saved me that day, together with the raw date/nut bars I hid in a shirt in my bag😅👍🏻 .
I have been living 100% by the Medical Medium protocols for 1,5 years, and it can be challenging at times when you are being social with others and everyone else is eating something different than you. But I have experienced that with some preparation there is always a way. With this lifestyle there is a lot of truth to: If there is a will - there is a way❤️

Så det var min redning, samt de raw daddel/nødde barer jeg gemte i en trøje i min taske😅👍🏻 .

I workout when I want to workout, and I feel good about it.
If exercise can’t be fun for me, that would be very terrible, because ever since I was little exercise has been such a remedy for my soul 💫👏🏼

Nach einem wunderbaren Wochenende in Dresden habe ich heute einen wundervollen Tag mit der Lieben @alexasearth verbracht. ❤
(Über meine Zeit in Dresden möchte ich euch im Laufe der Woche noch mehr erzählen.😘) In letzter Zeit merke ich immer mehr, wie wichtig es ist, sich mit Menschen zu umgeben, die einem gut tun.
Oftmals denken wir darüber nicht so genau nach sondern verbringen unserer Zeit mit Menschen, mit denen wir uns gut verstehen. Aber fühlen wir uns wirklich gut bei ihnen? 🤔
Durch @alexasearth habe ich begonnen, meine Beziehungen zu hinterfragen. Und Leute mir geht's so richtig gut damit.
