Poon Hill Trek, Nepal:
On the section between Ghorepani and Tadepani I observed a very intense scene. In a narrow valley a buffalo was standing at the side of a small stream surrounded by some Nepali men. All of a sudden one of them swang the sledgehammer he had been holding and struck the buffalo right on the forehead. It collapsed immediately. While the body was still twitching, another man took the sickle he had sharpened on a rock beforehand and attempted slitting the animals leathery throat. It took him quite a while to make the cut. That must have been the reason why the men had chosen to knock the buffalo out first. The duration of the procedure allowed me to take pictures of the scene. After I had taken some pictures the men started yelling at me, ordering me to stop taking pictures. Maybe I had touched a tabu.
The scene kept recurring in my head for the rest of the day, and I felt somewhat angry that the men had slaughtered the innocent animal. But then I understood that this was a decent way of handling the task, while in my industrialized home country animals are being treated like dirt and gruesomely killed behind locked factory doors. As a vegetarian I had learned a lot from this day‘s experience.
Strawberry almond milk round 2!🍓
This has become a fam favourite in our home, the daughter drank about half of this yesterday and all the strawberries in it too!
Make almond milk as per usual instructions, when in blender add in your strawberries and continue with nut mylk bag after.
I used my hurom juicer which lets me do it all in one and filters out the pulp, insta won’t let me post my video tho 🤷🏼♀️

I know life isn’t easy but that makes it more like an addicting game to play. Always keep your head held high and know you don’t have it that bad. There are people out there wondering where there next meals will be. That alone is what motivates us as vegans. Knowing that if we can help eliminate the amount of meat consumed each year we could help end world hunger... what an incredible thought.🌱♻️😮

Spicy vegetable curry goodness 🥘😍
Lightly roasted sweet potato, aubergine, courgette, cauliflower. Add to a large pan with chickpeas, baby corn, coconut milk and curry powder/spices. Let it all cook a bit more, then serve with MY FAVE THING... Coriander! 👌🏻❤️
Also chucked in a load of Merken so it kinda blew our heads off, but still! 😂🙈
