#Repost from @fosacng with @regram.app ... While our committemet remains to inspire, challenge and equip teens and youths towards purpose vision and values in our forthcoming project #ForSchoolsAndColleges2019 , we also believe there's a need to help them set academic goals during our conferences and tour.
Our goal therefore is to look for ways that will allow us comfortably execute the project with tangible impact.
What goals or desires are you setting for 2019? How well do you tend to keep your "New Years Resolutions"? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do your well intentioned resolutions start strong, but pewter off pretty quickly, like so many?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I can relate. I've actually stopped making New Year's Resolutions, and have shifted into creating and manifesting goals and desires instead!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You see, so often, we set out to achieve things in our lives that are actually fairly low on our values list! Usually, these goals are items we think we 'should' or 'need' to do, but don't inspire or energize us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some of you may hate going to the gym, for example. If so, this isn't a goal that naturally inspires you. You won't wake up excited to workout, so you'll need lots of extrinsic motivation to get you there. In that case, in time, you're more likely to make excuses to not go, procrastinate etc. and perhaps feel as though, yet again, you couldn't keep your New Year's Resolution.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, if you really value moving your body and improving your physical health, and are inspired to do so through something you love like dance...you are more than likely to achieve success if you set a goal to dance at least 3 xs/week. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You'll find yourself getting excited about your goal... Taking inspired action (eg. booking an adult dance class), naturally internally motivated for the fun of it and for how great it feels. This is a goal that is aligned with "who you really are". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Decide today to join my FREE class "Manifest Your Dreams in 2019" Monday at 8:30 EST for more tips to make this year your best yet!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We all came from a certain egg.
Some eggs can be delicious, some can be hard boiled, and some scrambled and confused. On the worse case it can also be rotten.. so let think together, is it the egg or the chef? Maybe it is the chicken?? Who knows... You create your own dish, even if you come from a rotten egg.. make sure you scramble your eggs very well that your dish will be honorable to represent.
Happy Friday to you all,
Throughout our lives we are always learning, changing, growing and at times we have to let go of people, not because we no longer care but because we have different needs#values#goals#when you set someone free you set yourself free#respect#honor and love
Today we stayed in jammies as long as possible. We baked cookies and we went to grandmas to make shrinky dinks.
My heart has been heavy yogis. Here in Minnesota it’s been grey. The cold has set in and the mantra of “change is the only constant” has echoed again.
As I look at the coming year I think about what I want. It’s nothing really big. I feel like I have all I need. I know my blessings. Still I’m human; always changing, always growing. It’s time to shake things up again.
I hope you are evaluating too. You don’t need a big event or marker to illicit change. You just have to know what you want.
So excited to receive my copy of #theprincewarriors series by @priscillashirer
I can not wait to read it to my nephews and my son... Raising Spiritual warriors and instilling a #commitment to Christ is a the desire of my heart ❤️
POWERFUL THOUGHTS 💭
Day#11 -31 Challenge
SEEK WISE COUNSEL
Do you have wise Godly people in your life that would give you sound advise? Or do you believe that it doesn’t matter matter if you do seek counsel from them in areas such as Integrity, honor, morals and values, respect, family life, business, etc. The type of people I am speaking about, all have something in common,
It’s their good character. Your character is not based on the way you dress, or how rich you are. It’s based on the principles you live by. Your morals, standards, and values that’s imbedded in you. If you have parents, family members, or friends who possess these qualities, seek guidance and counsel from them. Now never put them before God, and allow them to make your final decisions on any matter, but understand that wise people, would never tell you to make foolish decisions that would lead you astray, their advise would be valuable, and would help you to understand that you don’t have to try and fit in with the crowd just because you want to feel accepted, but they’ll instill in you, that greatness lies within you, and that you’re special and chosen for something greater that you can ever imagine. 🙏👌🏼 If you don’t have people like this in your circle, just stop, and pause for a moment, and ask God to send these people into your life. Believe me, just like magic they’ll appear in front your very eyes. 😀👌🏼

To have a good relationship, you must be clear with each other about what the quid pro quo is—what is generous, what is fair, and what is just plain taking advantage—and how you will be with each other.
One important thing that typically divides people is how they approach their work. Are they working just for their paycheck or are they looking for something more? Each of us has our own views about what is most important. I’ve made a lot of money through my work, but I see my job as much more than as a way to make money—it’s how I choose to live out my values around excellence, meaningful work, and meaningful relationships. If the people I worked with were primarily interested in making money, we would have conflicts whenever we had to choose between upholding our values and making an easy buck. Don’t get me wrong—of course I understand that people don’t work for personal satisfaction alone, and that a job must be economically viable. But we all have definite ideas about what we value and what we want our relationships to be like, and employers and employees have to be in sync on such things.
Naturally there will be disagreement and negotiation, but some things cannot be compromised and you and your employees must know what those things are. This is especially true if you’re seeking to create an environment that has shared values, a deep commitment to the mission, and high standards of behavior.

Sorry for the lack of posts, this week has been crazy, dealing with dental issues, a poorly cat (who thankfully seems better) and the usual pre-Christmas mayhem. In amongst all this I have been fitting in summer school wherever I can. Here are a couple of studies done in my sketchbook, focusing on shapes and values for the most part. I'm enjoying it so far!
First pic painted in black gouache, second pic drawn with a fountain pen, with a water brush to make the ink run and create shadows.
Conditional Love vs Unconditional Love. I will love unconditionally but with some conditions. Because the kind of love I have to give, I can’t give away freely to someone that don’t understand or respect what I’m giving. #loveyourself#dontsettleforless#boundaries
