The old me would have turned around when I saw two very 💪🏼 guys working out in the weight room. .
But, I took my energize and committed myself and my accountability group to take on a new workout program! .
I walked in, borrowed some weights , set up my area and propped up my iPad. .
To say I wasn’t conscious is a lie. Of course I was worried about how I may look.... .
But honestly, we were all there for the same purpose. To stay strong and fit! .
So glad I did it! .
By the way, this new program is going to be challenging but I am super excited ! .
Now, let me gather up whatever that is left in me to walk to my bed 😅😅😅
I was hungover this morning, but after some big ass cups of coffee Crys and I got to it

There was no stairmaster so I opened with 10 minutes of sprints and closed with them too
I said I wasn't coming home but I do miss my routine, I'll be honest... Check me in November for the shred, won't even take that long. I'm confident 😏😏

One of my goals for 2018 is to do a pull-up. I am strong but not strong in that way—I have never done one in my life. The actions involved are the opposite of what you are asked to do in a yoga practice. A pull-up [obviously] involves pulling, whereas yoga predominately asks you to push. And a pull up requires your fingers squeezing together towards your palm whereas yoga often is a spreading of the hands. You might grip when you are holding a strap, but a lot of people have trouble with gripping.—————— Knowing this about yoga, I incorporate those moves into my life in other ways, but I am not quite ready to pull my whole body weight, and I have realized lately that my grip strength has weakened. ——————— Everyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about taking yoga and movement practices off the mat and into our daily lives. If you want to go to a gym, awesome! Go! I was always a gym guy, but after the baby came on top of a busy job it was so hard to get there. So I started lifting a home, with world class trainers leading the way.💻I’ve never been stronger and now I realize how much time I used to WASTE at the gym. .

Tomorrow I embark on an 8 week journey unlike any I have done before. So today, as I was taking my “before” pictures, as I have done so many times, I decided to set a goal unrelated to my weight or inches. I put on a pair of shorts that I LOVE to workout in but HATE how they fit on me. When I took the photos I could easily pick apart everything that I hated, but instead I shifted my mindset to a goal of feeling CONFIDENT in these shorts once the 8 weeks are over. Your goals don’t all have to be related to weight and muscle gain, mental & emotional goals are just as important.
There are still three spots left in my Summer Bootcamp which starts tomorrow (& there is a money pot if you need some extra incentive). Application is in my bio. I can’t wait to transform with you this summer.

-Leg curl Machine Hip thrusts 4x10 (100lbs)
-Kickbacks 10x30 (on each leg) This workout is from @fitgurlmel and it is KILLER but a lot of fun 🤪

Working out while on vacation! 🤦♀️.. It didn’t seem practical to me before but it I do feel great after a morning workout even if it’s a small and simple one. During vacations I normally get a lot of walking in but I’m also enjoying a lot of different foods too so to keep me balanced I’ll do something like this before the kids wake up.. Warm up (15 arm circles front then back, 30 toe touches, 30 marching x2), workout (15 triceps extensions with water jug, 15 chair squats, 15 reverse flys with water bottles, 30 sec single leg hold, 15 push-ups x2), plank until fail, stretches of choice (I brought my ball to help with my legs, back, and shoulders). But vacations should be fun and relaxing so if possible try a new activity like yoga paddle boarding 😉
