Mike Andreotti and party are currently slaying the bass in the shallows here on East Grand Lake. They have been doing very well in the "cabbage grass" with large surface water spooks and senko’s (6-8 ft of water)......right in our cove outside of the lodge.
Thank you Scott and Rachael for letting us stop by your beautiful home, it’s always great catching up with you both and I’m really happy you got to meet Nathan...on his first airplane ride!🛩

Three miserable midwestern strangers all aboard a Lake Michigan ferry, trudging through our clam-infested filth water, dreaming of the #painfulbeaches of #vacationland - Thank you for mitigating our misery with your words, @johnhodgman
I know it’s hard to believe but I miss Maine something bad... more than I’ve ever missed Texas. Maybe it was all the firsts for River. Or perhaps the bushels of roadside pick your own berries we stumbled upon, or the combination of the smell of roses and Christmas and salt. Maybe it was the fresh lobster. Or the US history I all of sudden found interest in as we drove the seaside. #imissit#maineisinmyheart#iwannagobacksobad#mainething#vacationland#cabininthewoods
The fog rolled in for the first time in a while today. I looooooove the fog, love walking down to the school dock and staring out into the pale gray with the boats rocking gently back and forth in the dark water. The fog had hid Bar Island by the time I wandered down into the Seaside Gardens behind Turrets. When it comes and the earth gets sponges and springy and the condensation forms on my leg hair and everything looks eldritch and slightly ominous, I can’t help but remember the fantasy novels I read growing up. I feel like something magical’s about to happen 😍
#victorystartshere wrapping my friendly canvass host's stop sign and mailbox with patriotic decor. It starts at every door my team of 4 walking canvassers gets to knock. It starts with every kind word over the phone with my canvass host making phone calls. I met more of my neighbors today in #vacationland and here is #thewaylifeshouldbe . I am so excited to make Maine blue this fall #mepolitics
Closing out the final weekend before training camp gets cranked up with a few of the highlights from this year’s #tourofnewengland . Let’s see, we’ve got ocean views from Camden Hills State Park, Mt Megunticook, the wiggly bridge, and Pineland Farms in Maine. Breakheart Reservation and Maudslay State Park in Massachusetts, my good buddy Joe Reynolds and I after a 19 miler, and a little paintball in New Hampshire.
