The Elf on the Shelf burst onto the scene in 2005, and now he’s everywhere you look. Just who is this little guy and what’s his modus operandi? Why not go right to the source and find out for yourself? The original 2005 edition; hardcover; two copies available: $5 #usedbooks#usedbookstore#elfontheshelf
I went on a bookstore date with my friend @dointhehappydance and these were the books I scored for myself! 😍 All of these were $5 total. 🙌🏻

We've been fans of Opal Wheeler's books since the beginning of our homeschool journey. This summer, I was so thrilled to find an original 1943 copy (in excellent condition) of her Sing for Christmas book for just $3. It includes classic Christmas carols, illustrated, with the story behind many of the songs. It's a great resource for music study at Christmas time.
This weeks used bookstore finds!
The Unabridged Journals of Silvia Plath: I read the abridged version of her journals three years ago and fell in love with her raw vulnerable voice. Dare I say, I loved it even more than The Bell Jar? Very excited to dive into the unabridged version.
The Outsiders (50th Anniversary Edition): I read this book for the first time 5 years ago and I blame my high school for not requiring me to read it earlier. I’m excited to introduce my hardback to my paperback. I hope they get along.
Still Me: It’s odd to only own the last book in a series, but I regret nothing. This was by far my favorite book and while I needed the highs and lows of the previous two to fully revel in the joy that is Still Me, I’m ok only having this one on the shelf. At least until I find the other two on sale. Mama loves a sale.
