The 105kg session at this year's IPF Classic (Raw) Worlds was WITHOUT question one of my top three all-time favorite classes to coach. I had an absolute blast!
It had everything you want in a powerlifting competition: 1) very strong 💪 lifters who execute well, 2) a distribution of strength across the disciplines where each lifter possesses a unique skill set, 3) body weight & lot # scenarios, 4) WRs in play, 5) critical attempt selection strategy, 6) a hyped 🔥 crowd, and 7) high drama. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
It literally came down to the final few DLs & I'm so thankful 🙏to have been a part of if with these amazing people. ⠀

Bench is holding out so far! Head lift has been helping remove the offending pec tension and the weights are still moving despite the form change. Can’t complain... yet💩

And just like that deload deadlift day is over. I hate deload weeks, especially when it comes to deadlifting. The body needs rest though and since this is my long work week I'm kinda glad I'm deloading this week. Just chugging along until I can finally lift heavy weight again next week🤘🇺🇸.
#transformationtuesday August 2017 where I missed a 485 lb squat PR attempt. So far this is the only squat I’ve ever failed (knock on wood!). Swipe left to Today where I hit 485 lbs for 3 like it was nothing. My squat has been improving light years ahead of my other 2 lifts. It has gone from my weakest lift to one of, if not the strongest lift. 2.5 weeks out. Hoping for a BIG PR on game day 😈

@berryyy_08 and @queen_veeeee5 a week and half out from there first powerlifting meet and here both are squatting 331 lbs , I think it is incredible what these two have done, less than a year for both of lifting and the are coming up on 400 lbs squat. 9 months ago, I got back in the gym for my mental health after being away from the weight room for longer than I want to admit. The gym became my outlet after stressful days of work and I became hooked on lifting again.
Lately, training for #PullForPride has brought out the competitor in me again and I'd been looking for a way to compete as motivation to continue training. Last week, I became a member of USA Powerlifting and I'm so excited I took the plunge and signed up for my first sanctioned powerlifting meet when registration opened tonight.
