And just like that deload deadlift day is over. I hate deload weeks, especially when it comes to deadlifting. The body needs rest though and since this is my long work week I'm kinda glad I'm deloading this week. Just chugging along until I can finally lift heavy weight again next week🤘🇺🇸.

Holy 🐄, I can’t wait for my Push velocity unit to come in, this whole record-trim-move to app-trace then check my velocity is really making my workouts take a bit longer than I’d like. .
Squats: 315x3 , 325-2x3, 345x3, 370-2x2 
I’ve been a bit hesitant on squats but the knees did good and velocity was was even better. It was kind of a nice boost to see that my 83% 1RM was faster than it felt and it really felt pretty good. Depth not so good but not far off😊

Swipe left to Today where I hit 485 lbs for 3 like it was nothing. My squat has been improving light years ahead of my other 2 lifts. Dead lifts ⚪⚪🔴 My favorite lift. The one I was looking forward to the most. Went out and opened at 220 lb which was lower than my last warm up. Came up easy. 2nd attempt was about 240 lb. Easy peasy. 3rd attempt was supposed to be around 264 lb. The first 2 came up so easy that we decided to go for 270 lb. I've hit 275 once in the gym, but that was in January and haven't been able to hit above 255 since then. I was feeling good before my 3rd attempt. Went out there, pulled that weight off the floor with such ease (adrenaline and ammonia are contributing factors of that), didnt lock my knees out up top. Cool haha. In the moment, I was upset, but that quickly faded. I had pulled that weight up so easy that I couldn't help but be proud of myself. Gives me more to work on before the next meet. I need to just hit my openers on the squat, bench, and deadlift to qualify in August at the Southwest Regionals in Mesa, Arizona. Lately, training for #PullForPride has brought out the competitor in me again and I'd been looking for a way to compete as motivation to continue training. Last week, I became a member of USA Powerlifting and I'm so excited I took the plunge and signed up for my first sanctioned powerlifting meet when registration opened tonight.
