Remember the Super Sucker, the underwater vacuum we were using to remove invasive algae from Kaneohe Bay on Oahu? Our partners at the Hawaii DLNR (Department of Land and Natural Resources) continue monitoring the bay and placing native urchins like these in the water to help keep the reefs clear. DLNR is growing the urchins in a hatchery, and has recently been experimenting with growing native corals for possible planting in degraded ocean areas. We toured the facility recently with some state legislators. It takes all of us learning about and working together to make a positive difference for Hawaii. Imua!
Had to move my piano and clear an area of the living room this week so this afternoon I’m reassembling my... let’s call them vignettes. That’s a trendy word. My aesthetic remains “Dusty Antique Shop by a Sea in Asia”. 😏
So I wrote this long ass caption for this picture, I mean I got into real detail. You see I’m using this as tool to help me try figure out what’s fucked my out look on life (although we all know the worlds a pretty nasty place) and also because I absolutely SUCK at talking and expressing my emotions. I used to write all the time but I stopped so I’m hoping I use this as a way to find myself. This picture tells a story but I am not going into that again, I don’t know if I should take it as a sign or not but like always after I spent about 15 minutes explaining this my phone died so now I’m grumpy and I’m going to have to try again another day lol I’ll let you all just bask in the beautiful Australian shells instead of the horrific reason behind it. If anyone wants to see how I go at this little spiritual and emotional journey follow this account and time will tell the wacky tales of this messed up bitch and the life she’s had to live✌🏻maybe you can help me on my way?
Itchin for an unrchin?? Have you checked out @anchoredbymel 💞They are doing things with urchins that are just ahhhmazing! 🙌🏻Check out her page. Seriously. ...Don’t miss out. 🙌🏻The neatest, beautiful, most unique, one of a kind pieces. And then... when you’re done checking out her things... head on over to her almost hubby’s page @seabeanaddict if you’re into sea beans. He has some neat pieces I wear every day! ☺️ Neatest part... I got to see their work shop and see for myself what goes into making their pieces. And wow! Talk about a lot of patience and detail😳 They’ve got it. Not me.😔 I just like to stick the glue on the shell and badabing badaboom 🤷🏻♀️ I’m lucky to call them my friends. Why?! Bc Paul pays me $ for my sea-beans and they laugh at me as if I’m funny or something. 🤷🏻♀️🤪 So it boosts my ego. 😹 Keep up the awesome work! Can’t wait to own more of your jewelry. .
