It was a special day with @awalkonwater !! The moment I got there tears filled my eyes, hearing the cheers celebrating people of all abilities surfing, and seeing all the smiles!! I am so proud of @andyscotttru for volunteering and being a part of an event filled with so much joy and kindness!! My heart is full 💙💛💙💛 #theluckyfew#harperday#surftherapy#upsyndrome#t21dad#uplife
Safety first. I had a horrible nightmare last night. I’m very nervous when it comes to pools and water. Protecting my children comes first. These awesome water wings from @speedo work so good for my Jordan Grace and she looks super fashionable! (Not sponsored, just love the product) 🌵
I baught this wagon when I was like 6 months pregnant. With the idea that one day he can go cruising in it. It’s been a long 1 year and 4 months coming , but here we are finally!!!!!!! Cruising is his wagon, and he loves it! #downsyndromeawareness#theluckyfew#upsyndrome#cruising
Everyday I thank God for our little man. It’s been almost 3 years since the day when I literally felt my whole world had fallen apart, after being told my baby had down syndrome. I look back now and thank God for blessing us with this amazing little guy! In my small-mindedness, how wrong was I? If only I could’ve caught a glimpse of how life was really going to be with my gorgeous boy, I would’ve shuck my self and said, Marie it really is going to be perfect! He is perfect in every way! Oh how I love my boy!!!❤️
“I’m 6 months today!” I can’t believe my sweet girl is already half a year. I love watching her grow, but yet she’s growing way too fast! 😭 Scarlett Rose I love you more than anything! 💛 #6months#stopgrowing
God I’m gonna miss this face... whyyyy do I have to leave her for my doctor appointment next week?? 😩 Even though my appointment is on Tuesday, we can only get home on weekends for our ride situation. BUT I need everyone to pray and agree with us on some good possibilities - because of how complicated it’s been getting her AIRVO situated, the doctors are leaning towards having her transferred to Tulsa’s children’s hospital next week! 🙏 That way she can have continuous respiratory support, but she’s finally stable enough to travel! If they don’t get an answer by the end of the day Monday on her AIRVO, Tuesday morning they’re having a “peer to peer” phone call between the hospitals to make sure St Francis Children’s has a bed for her and then they will fly her there! Praying that’s the route we go so we can all be home together and that she will have safe travels! In the meantime, I’m going to be counting down the days until she’s in my arms again. (If she doesn’t get transferred we will be back in Texas next Saturday.) Mommy loves you SO MUCH, Birdie. 😍💖 #chdwarrior#upsyndrome#downsyndrome#theluckyfew#superRemi#getRemihome
Easton is one of the most determined little boys I have ever met. He is SO close to walking independently. He is currently taking about 8 steps unassisted. His strength and control has increased dramatically over the past few days. I am so so proud of his progress!
He falls often (like ALL the time), but he gets back up and keeps trying. He never gives up. His persistence leaves me in awe of him. I think there is definitely a lesson to be learned in that. We all fall often, fail, lose our way- but it’s how we handle those moments. Do we stay down and give up...or do we get up, brush ourselves off, learn from our mistakes, and keep going?
Easton is only 17 months old, but he has taught me more about life in those 17 months than I ever thought possible. I am so grateful for that. Now, I just hope I can teach him a few things too along the way! 💛
