Stress 🤯!! I had the privilege of being a speaker at a Stress/PTSD recovery event the other night. What a great topic because stress doesn’t only display itself due to disaster, trauma, or illness. Daily stressors from a poor diet, toxic products, poor lifestyle choices, medications, electronics, lack of sleep, and environment are the biggest culprits. One of the biggest physical indicators of stress is midsection weight gain, if your living in survival mode due to chronic stress because your body isn’t supported appropriately, it shows. Other indicators of chronic stress are insomnia, digestive issues, tired but wired, brain fog, fatigue, racing thoughts, and don’t forget that stress causes premature aging. .
Here are some tips to combat chronic stress..
. Upgrade food quality! Only eat whole fresh food, you can follow here for great upgraded meal ideas
. 10pm bedtime, no excuses!
. No electronics in the bedroom, blue light from phones, televisions, and tablets increase cortisol and prevent quality sleep . Remove conventional products from your routine, find all natural nontoxic body and home care, I love my essential oils for this!
. Work on improving health to reduce medication dependency.
. Get active! Go for a 30 minute brisk walk daily, lift weights, swim at the beach.
. Deep belly breathing can reduce stress, invoke relaxation, activate your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest)
