Sitting in the airport on the way to visit @backoffpaps @hehvarney and @pv207 and thinking back to my play date in the forest with @katharine_atmar and about how messed up it is that they weren’t allowed to go in the forest in #HarryPotter 🌲 The forest is magic. 🌲 And one of my favorite things to do is find a little stream and build a dam.
We planned on heading out to Kuang Si Falls for a second visit just to swim after a long hot day at the Buffalo Dairy Farm when we passed signs for this sweet little watering hole. Glad we took a chance on some sketchy signage because we ended up here with just one other family. Had a pretty epic splash fight with their young sons and jumped off the falls before getting on the road again—refreshed and ready for another amazing night in Luang Prabang.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.
