JOSEY BAKER’S ADVENTURE BREAD is hands down the best gluten-free, vegan bread I have ever tasted! This bread doesn’t try to be like white bread. It stands in its on. It is original and it is delicious. I cut mine up into slices and keep it in the freezer. This will be a staple in my pantry for sure. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
RECIPE.
DRY INGREDIENTS.
2 1/4 cups rolled oats.
1 cup sunflower seeds.
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds.
3/4 cup almonds, toasted and coarsely chopped.
3/4 cup flax seeds.
1/3 cup psyllium seed husks. 
3 tablespoons chia seeds.
2 teaspoons fine sea salt.
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
WET INGREDIENTS.
2 tablespoons maple syrup.
1/4 cup olive oil.
2 1/2 cups water.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
METHOD
1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF (180ºC.)
2. Toast the seeds. 
2. Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well. 
3. Then stick it in the fridge and leave it alone for a whole day.
4. Remove bread from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. 
5. preheat to 400ºF (200ºC.) Bake the bread for about an hour.
6. take it out and gently remove the loaf from the pan. Let cool on a cooling rack for at least 2 hours (YES, two whole hours). Don’t rush it here folks, this bread is D*E*N*S*E, and if you don’t wait for it to cool, it really won’t be as yummy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And something you don’t have to feel bad about if you if live on the edge a little and eat a donut. I don’t restrict myself when it comes to food. If I want it, I eat it. If you find a path with no obstacle 🌿 it probably doesn’t lead anywhere . and when you’re constantly on the go running that family ship ~ the end of the week can get a little off schedule . I proudly say I stream all my fitness from home (but it also supplements so many others’ current lifestyle routines too!) This is what keeps me in check with my health - because I can “make myself” make it happen on the daily. And for me - I need that momentum to be in constant motion,  Or it’s harder to get back up and start where I left off . 🌿If you quit more then once, it becomes a habit. 🌿 and I’m leaving old habits right here in 2018 ~ I am NOT quitting . Don’t quit 🌿

After years of hating myself, and picking myself apart for every "flaw", every freckle, every scar, my hair, my eyes, my rounded face -literally everything. Today felt a little bananas !!! And I’m not sure if it’s because it’s the end of the week, middle of the month, end of the year.... Or because BlakeyBear has decided he’s too big now for his 2.5 hr day time nap! ... And it’s thrown me for a bit of a loop :/ to say the least. I mean that’s my prime time business time ~ and it frustrates me to get all thrown off :/

The end of the week means there’s isn’t any Meal Prep left. Which means I’m hangry as hell and the fam jams may be picking up on it lol. .
I hate when my emotions get in the way of my appetite. And surrounded by all the kids’ little snacks ,and Chace won the candy guessing contest at school (just when all the Halloween candy just got finished) >> I decided to follow my own advice to my fellow challengers and clients. .
Instead of giving into temptations ~ I took a deep “smell the roses” kind of breath, came up with an alternative to my overwhelm. .
What works for me: • Breathe. Seriously . Close your eyes and imagine smelling something so sweet. And breathe . • Grab a big glass or bottle of water and drink up and quench away your cravings . Often introducing a new element can set your distractions straight. • Relocate . Completely. And even ask for help. So I did :) Matt’s at hockey and I’m at my new fave chapters/Starbucks so I can plug away and go home accomplished and refreshed. (Plus retail therapy is always a little more figure friendly anyways ;) ) • Get to work. Whatever that means for you. Finish it all, whatever is on your daily to do list. And then breathe again :) .
I’ve been preaching it in my wellness accountability groups all week ~ let’s fuel our bodies so we have the very best energy to perform / and eat of the “top ten” of our “best for us” nutrition food lists:) .
So here I am, battling my “I want to stress eat “ all the kids crap and instead of that cake pop, egg bites. And instead of that caramel brûlée latte, my Christmas Blend with Stevia :) .
We all have weak moments ~ but they don’t last very long if we tough them out and put ourselves out there for accountability :) .
So back to my inbox! Back to my new client set up emails! This new 20 min program is off the hook!

When we consume alcohol in any form alcohol is broken down into a metabolite called acetaldehyde. Acetaldehyde is a poison which is a close relative of formaldehyde this acts as a major toxin in our body and puts a lot of stress on our liver.⠀
⠀
It's not to say we can never enjoy some drinks, it's just about supporting our body!⠀
⠀
Here are a few of my favourite tips to support the liver and overall body when considering having a few drinks!⠀
⠀
⠀
1.) Consider enjoying some non-alcoholic beverages like:⠀
-Kombucha ⠀
-Mineral water with freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice add some freshly muddled berries-Pour into a fancy glass and no one will ever know! ☺️⠀

2) If choosing alcoholic beverages:⠀
-Organic vodka with mineral water with freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice, add some pomegranates to the drink as well (to make it festive). 🍸⠀
-Organic red wine🍷⠀
- local craft, gluten-free beer 🍺⠀
⠀
3) Make sure you're drinking water in-between your alcoholic beverage. Being dehydrated is one of the reasons why we feel awful the next day. 🤢⠀

4) Grab some N-AC (N acetyl cysteine), chlorella tabs and vitamin C. This can help support and protect your body and liver while you enjoy a few drinkies😉⠀

I FINALLY got another workout in 🙌 I'm finally finished with week 6 of my program and sure it's taken 10 weeks to get through but that's life 😬

But seriously, I have zero guilt that I've gotten 4 workouts completed in the last 2 weeks->I'm still pushing through it, still checking them off, and I'm sure not quitting 🙌

Sometimes we have to slow down, lower weights, drop the impact, modify, and space it out. All valid options. Keep going. In the last 2 years of my health journey that is the best lesson I've learned->keep going. 
Even if you have to pivot. Just keep going.

True: due to the people praying for Dave & his work situation our household has been much much calmer this week. 
However, I admit I need a little comfort to begin my mornings. My devotional provides a lot of calmness & clarity. But I happily admit: food brings me comfort too (shocker that I was 30 pounds overweight 😲😉). So, I did not fight myself, nor am I berating myself for this choice! I've made this chocolate peanut butter wonder whip my breakfast this week! And it has satisfied me both physically & emotionally ❤

Why the face??? Because we’re TWO WEEKS away from Christmas!! Gulp.  Are you ready?  I’m  not ready.  Is it just me or does it feel like the older you get, the faster the holidays creep up on us? 🙈

You know what I AM ready for?  January.  I’m ready to get BACK to my reg workout routine.  But for most women its time to start a diet/workout AGAIN. That was me 2 yrs ago.

Here’s the problem with starting yet AGAIN… every time you start & quit a “diet”, it’s recorded in the brain, and becomes a mental reminder that you FAILED before, so “why would you stick to it this time?” 🤷🏼‍♀️

Does anyone else feel they are just too dang busy to cook a good, healthy meal?! We, as humans, love to over-complicate the heck out of things. “I don’t have time to make my own damn nut milk” “I wish I could make my own homemade pasta but I get home at 6 and I have yoga at 8” 
We get stuck in these mindsets where if it’s healthy, that means it has to all be made from scratch, or if it’s not meal planned & prepped in advance then we should just give up now. 
It’s overwhelming. 
So then we make not-so-hot decisions like eating sushi for the third night in a row or slaying a bag of your fav chips with a tub of hummus. 
BUT. We can totally simplify things. 
This meal literally took less than 30 minutes from prep to flopping on the couch with forkfuls in tow. 
That’s less time it takes to decide what you want, dialing the the restaurant number and getting in your car to go pick it up. 
Also it was freekin GOOD. It took no time at all and it tasted like a Mexican fiesta. 
So take a step back, go back to the basics and just whip up something super super simple that actually nourishes your soul, instead of eating just to get some food in ya. .

1/4cup vanilla Greek yogurt ⁣
(If plain Greek yogurt add 1-2tsp raw honey) ⁣
1/4cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk ⁣
(If plain almond milk add 1/4tsp vanilla extract) ⁣
Sprinkle of cinnamon ⁣
Mix allll that up!!⁣
Top with 1/4-1/2cup frozen cherries ⁣

This week I was just mentioning to Matt I need some new “salad” inspiration, so I can prep these FIRST each week, then if I run out of time, at least I have a lightened up “go to lunch” to help me survive these brutal two weeks over the holidays! And I’m all about enjoying the “couple” days we celebrate with family, and making the rest of the days set up for success - to just help myself stay the course while keeping it interesting and not boring either . .

This Pinterest Inspo came from shelikesfood.com and seems pretty Budget Friendly and easy too: 🥗🌮SEASONED CHICKPEA TACO SALAD WITH AVOCADO RANCH DRESSING🌮🥗 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Other optional salad ingredients (enough for 4 servings): Lettuce, corn, red onions, black olives, diced tomatoes, tortilla chips 🥑AVOCADO RANCH DRESSING:

2 large avocados
1 1/4 cup water
1/4 cup fresh lime juice, or lemon
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoons granulated garlic
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste if needed
