1️⃣ Drive your hips back & lower your chest, keeping your upper body completely in line & controlled!
2️⃣ With a slight bend in your knees bring the bar down just below your knees - don’t go too lower that your lower back bends! .
⚠️The tension should only be in your hamstrings & glutes - going too low will move the tension to your lower back & cause injury, esp if you go too heavy!
3️⃣ At the bottom of the rep- concentrate on your glutes contracting, pushing through the hells to drive you back up! You should NOT be pulling the bar back up with your upper body!
⚠️ Think of this like a hinge movement from your hips & and your body should be tight, not moving & in line throughout!

Both of us complete this exercise at least once a week for hypertrophy reps (8-12) to build the muscles! This is also great to complete at volume at the end of your working sets for a burn out - 15-20 reps at a lower weight!

Let me first clarify that when I refer to nighttime overeating, I am not speaking about an actual binge eating disorder or nighttime eating syndrome. Those are clinical disorders that may require professional intervention to overcome.
I'm more addressing the controlled snacking that happens after dinner (even when no longer hungry) that many people fall into the habit of. 
#
1️⃣Buffer foods are little indulgences you allow yourself so you don’t feel deprived. Cream in your coffee, a few squares of dark chocolate. Including some of these foods can be helpful, as overeating at night is often the result of trying to be “perfect” during the day. 
2️⃣Eating balanced meals of protein and veggies will keep your blood sugar balanced and your hunger manageable. If all you do is graze throughout the day on snack type foods, you will likely end up ravenous come the evening. 
3️⃣Eating a large meal at night has been one of my go to tricks for years. I’ll eat a few smaller meals throughout the day so I’m not starving come dinner, but my last meal will be later in the evening and consist of a generous serving of protein, tons of veggies and a decent size portion of starch. This allows me to feel satisfied to the point of not even needing to seek out more to eat a few hours later. 
4️⃣Often our desire to eat has little to do with true hunger and more to do with wanting to numb an uncomfortable emotion. It’s important to determine what you're using food to avoid and then come up with alternative strategies. While eating may make you feel better in the moment, once you’re going done, you’re still left to sit with those emotions.

Let me first clarify that when I refer to nighttime overeating, I am not speaking about an actual binge eating disorder or nighttime eating syndrome. Those are clinical disorders that may require professional intervention to overcome. I'm more addressing the controlled snacking that happens after dinner (even when no longer hungry) that many people fall into the habit of. # 1️⃣Buffer foods are little indulgences you allow yourself so you don’t feel deprived. Cream in your coffee, a few squares of dark chocolate. Including some of these foods can be helpful, as overeating at night is often the result of trying to be “perfect” during the day. 2️⃣Eating balanced meals of protein and veggies will keep your blood sugar balanced and your hunger manageable. If all you do is graze throughout the day on snack type foods, you will likely end up ravenous come the evening. 3️⃣Eating a large meal at night has been one of my go to tricks for years. I’ll eat a few smaller meals throughout the day so I’m not starving come dinner, but my last meal will be later in the evening and consist of a generous serving of protein, tons of veggies and a decent size portion of starch. This allows me to feel satisfied to the point of not even needing to seek out more to eat a few hours later. 4️⃣Often our desire to eat has little to do with true hunger and more to do with wanting to numb an uncomfortable emotion. It’s important to determine what you're using food to avoid and then come up with alternative strategies. If you have flexible hamstrings you may struggle to feel the stretch on the eccentric part of the exercise - if this is you, try doing it on some plates and increase that range of motion.

🌿✨Firstly, can I just say my facial expressions in these photos always looks like a part of my soul has been taken away from me but meh 💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️ I got to be honest Monday and Tuesday at the gym, I didn’t have the best of sessions mainly because the week previously I was defo sleep deprived due to my travels and then my evening shift. Today however, I’ve had a boost of energy as I went to sleep at 7:45pm yesturday 😅 talk about early, even my baby sister doesn’t sleep that early! But it was defo needed, which goes to show the importance of sleep when you are training, you get fatigued and have that feeling of giving up when your tired. ✨ Just thought I’d share because often, people think I’m always 100% working at my best like a computer, well even a PC has faults so don’t be so hard on yourself if your not always reaching your goals! ✨Progress is not linear, it comes with bumps and curves so just embrace it ✨HAPPY HUMP DAY PEOPLE✨🌿

Delighted to have smashed another New Personal Record. I never entered the gym @westwoodclub even planning on touching the 50KG DB’s, In fact I never have touched them FULL STOP!! 😳

After the 45’s flew up I just felt like I had the ability in me. Last week I set a record for 45KG having been on 40KG DB Rows for 2 years and 42.5KG for one year!!! Well I’v just smashed two Personal Records in a week 🤷🏻‍♂️🙊

4 years ago I was 10KG lighter and skinnier. I remember working out in a gym over in the U.K where I lived for almost three years. I was 18 and there was a HUGE guy pulling 50’s like feathers!! I was in total amazement and said to myself I want to be able to lift those one day
