Many days I wake up in the morning and I feel powerful! I feel great, like I’m going to have an amazing day; the kids are gonna be wonderful, life is going to be fun. Today did not start out that way. At midnight Ellie proved sleeping wasn’t going to be part of the plan. After rocking her and trying to give her a bottle, I put her back down but she cried and cried. Long story short, there was very little sleep to be had last night.
This morning the babies woke up early and I had to go get them up at 6:15 AM after waiting as long as I thought it was humanely possible. I went into their bedroom and instead of letting them all scream as i individually brought them down to the playroom, I decided to let them all loose on their bedroom floor. We just got a new humidifier and I moved it causing a flood in the bedroom. 💧 Wet babies, wet everything! The day progressively got worse. BUT I think it might have a happy ending. I started a new schedule today; it appears to be working. I’ll explain tomorrow, and give credit where credit is due.
Wish us luck and sleepy babies.🙏🏻☀️😘
MEET THE TWINS. Jackson (left) and Jameson (right). My sweet little blue eyed babes! They have been fighters since their dramatic entrance into this world at 33 weeks. Their stint in the NICU made us all a bit stronger but these preemies at thriving at 1.5 years. The moment Jackson got a taste of independence by crawling and then walking...there was no stopping him! I have a feeling that is what his future is going to feel like too but We can not wait to cheer him on from the sidelines! Jameson has the cutest dimples I’ve ever laid my eyes on. We refer to him as our “last mashed potato” and I’m pretty sure his ideal day would be eating, napping and snuggling. We absolutely love our squishy little cuddle bug! .

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at my dear friend and photographer @gabrielaslegrovasolms A photo session turned into a play date with Gabriela’s daughter Scarlet who was so kind to share her toys with two very messy and rather demanding 10 months olds. Even now Scarlet is still asking about Mia Mouse 🐭😍
I just got off the phone with this amazing woman! There is no one who can lift my spirits like she does! We always start our conversations with, “How was your day?” And it never fails that her answer will be, “Everyday is a good day!” She just lost her husband of almost 70 years and she is the strong arm of the family. God gave her more faith in her pinky finger than most of us will ever have in a lifetime. We chat about the weather, what we had for dinner and what we have planned for the rest of the week. I name off the schedule I have with the #twinadoes and she proceeds to tell me that she has Bible study, will be heading to the nursing home to play piano for the residents (she’s older than most of them there 😘) and she has to fix all those Christmas lights that happened to burn out today! I could not admire her more ❤️ She is a #giftfromabove and I would not be the person I am today without her. Right before I took this picture she told me to “buckle up” because she has a lead foot! 😂 That is exactly how she approaches life...she puts the pedal to the metal and is a true example of what it’s like to live your life serving others. ❤️ She is such a gift!!
