Blessed we have made it this far with the twins, both boys should be about a pound by now. I have lost thrity pounds so my bump is not big at all.. The kicks have become alot stronger here lately, I am craving pickles and the pickle juice.. Aside from the 22,587 photos I have on my phone for 'keepsakes' 🙄 I have been making notes of memories for the future⏩. I'm not always 100% on keeping it up BUT I'm getting into the habit of trying to write the little things down, ya know?
Because we always say to ourselves:
'I don't need to write this down, I'll remember it!!' Yeah, right..! 😂

#twinmomlife - I am not a farmers-market-mom. I never have been. My kids eat goldfish, and Mac & cheese, and grocery store bananas. We don’t buy organic. I’m perfectly happy with generic brands. I’m a keep-it-simple kind of mom. We are a twins household...they have the numbers advantage so I do whatever I can to save a little bit of time. But today, we decided to take a field trip to the local farmer’s market as an outing. And I must say, I am proud of myself! I am not really good with fruits that I’m not used to. Bananas, apples, oranges...that’s about the extent of my comfort zone when it comes to fresh produce. Today, I decided to try something new, and I’m glad we did. I decided to buy a Golden Kiwi. 😳 The sample is what got me! It was so good! I will admit, I had to Google “How to eat a kiwi” but as you can see, they loved it! And yes, there are still goldfish, but hey, at least it’s a start! Now I’m gonna sit here and eat my farmers market chocolate chip cookies! 😂 #farmersmarket#atleastimtrying#whatdidwedowithoutgoogle .

The 1st year of having the twins and having three under 2yrs old, was a total blur! I was exhausted all the time. From sleepless nights to back to back breastfeeding, then pumping after breastfeeding to increase milk supply, to being a wife, to working full time. That year went by SO FAST!
I remember when the twins turned one, I cried saying “I survived!” Lol .

These two little monsters turned 25 weeks and they've already started teething. Max has been chewing on anything he grabs a hold of and Miles just learned to blow raspberries. Happy 25 weeks, Max and Miles!

7/21 days down. One week and I already feel INCREDIBLE. The first 5 days I felt so tired, sluggish and a head ache. But my energy is back. My control is back.
And I still have 14 more days left. And I’m not mad. Also, I can’t even tell you how full I’ve been because it’s soooo much food.

Today I wore my Twin Momma sweatshirt for my EMDR therapy session. It was a tough one, really tough. This trauma malarkey is pretty shite but I wore my sweatshirt to remind me of something.
The trauma from having the boys 9 weeks early, from leaving them in NeoNatal and from being with them through numerous frightening hospital admissions has kicked my arse, but now I’m kicking it’s arse.
I may have PTSD, I may have struggled but I’ve also taken that struggle and turned it into a fire that has fuelled me this last three years, to write An Ordinary Mummy, to create Preemie Power and now to launch Motherhood For Change. I’ve taken a negative and turned it into a positive which has opened up my life to new things and new experiences and for that I am happy and proud.
No matter how dark the situation, no matter how hard to endure or upsetting there can always be some form of positive that we can take from it. Every experience has the potential to allow us to grow and change and expand who we are and how we see things, so PTSD, for that I thank you.
I’ve taken your trauma and I’m turning it into my own personal triumph and it feels bloody good to be kicking your arse for a change and to be growing from the darkness into the light as a different person to the one who went into your depths 3 years ago.
Fitness is so much more then lookin’ good. It’s much more then just feelin’ good. Fitness IS BEING ME. Being yourself and knowing that it’s okay!
Fitness is realizing nothing else matters.
Realizing that you matter.
Having those 60 minutes 90 minutes to focus on yourself, release your stress, become healthier, get stronger, accomplish goals, and be yourself. .🐙

It was National Boss’ Day earlier this week and I think we should chat about it. The reality is as a toddler mom, guess who the real boss is?! They’re almost 3, run the show around here, especially at night and this momma really misses her sleep. I finally got to sleep throughout the night last night and wow do I feel refreshed! ⠀
Now I’m off to my 9-5 (which btw is more like 7-7 these days) and hoping I have energy leftover to attend to this book-loving #sidehustle . ⠀
A few more fun facts — it was Dictionary Day earlier this week, tomorrow will be International Observe the Moon night, and this whole week has been Medical Assistant Recognition Week. Without my rockstar MA, I don’t know what I’d do!⠀
And since I love any reason to celebrate (especially these national Holidays) today I give it up to you, my clients, each of whom becomes my ‘boss’ in a way, my reason for being, my inspiration, and the ones who challenge me to be better at what I do. Thank you for loving me enough to let me grow!⠀

#TBT I loved taking the babies out for Sushi at The Grand to meet with @hcoreen over the summer! Today was a beautiful Thursday in GH but not nice enough to sit outside like in this photo!! When I walked past The Grand today, I remembered this particular day as it was the TH before my Hysterectomy! 3 months ago!
These last 6 months have been a whirlwind. So many days I felt helpless and as if I was doing everything wrong, yet God has equipped me to handle all things through Christ who strengthens me!
My babies truly make this easier for me by sleeping through the night and just overall being non fussy and happy little babies, but without Christ, I know I would have lost my mind by now!!! @hcoreen Our table will be waiting for us next year!!!

One of the most common things I see my clients struggle with is getting their families on board with their desire for healthier habits. .
And I get it! I promise you, I've been there and still am there but what I can share is things get easier the longer you stay consistent. .
They start to notice your taste buds changing and your eagerness to fuel your body with things that will help sustain your day vs bringing it down (fast food coma anyone?)
But no matter how perfect your family dynamic is and how long you have been modeling great eating habits, there seems to always be a struggle with getting in VEGGIES!!

One tired mama but.... these are my babies! My happy tots! I haven’t seen those smiling lil faces all day ❤️ This last month has been one of the toughest with them E V E R!! I say this now and I may have said it during the last! I don’t even know 🙃
I know we are just transitioning into another developmental phase here but DAAYMMN. That being said, ☝🏻after a few.. ok, many minor #mamabreakdown moments this past week, I am reevaluating 🙌🏻 I had some thoughts about switching around my workout routine and making some other changes. After discussing it with my coach @kristinrichards_xo 💜 my girl..I am thinking that might be the healthiest decision!
One of the many thangs I love about my tribe.. the reassurance, tough love and the ability to get through my stubborn brain to stop~breathe ~adjust. Sometimes it takes one word or a pick-me-up video 😉
Just like I tell my peeps👉🏻 You have to take care of you first and make decisions that will allow to be your best self. No it’s not selfish 💜 You cannot pour from an empty glass!
