Shameless summer solstice solo summit selfie. Started the new season off right with a ski down the east peak of Mt. Daniel. I hated everything about the ascent but the ski was so great that I'll probably forget and end up doing it again 🤔
“I think this is the coolest thing we’ve built,” says @makspage.2 First trip in the trailer was great. Lots of room to carry all our gear and the kitchen was so nice to have everything right there where we needed it. Next addition will be a @roadshower water system. We rent this out too if anyone is looking for an adventure trailer weekend trip.
#teamsteele is adding a new member! Dropping in December is our Mountain baby BOY 💙! Silas can’t wait to be a big brother and we are thrilled to share our love of the outdoors with another sweet baby boy! Mountain baby, you are already SO LOVED!!!! (And of course we had to recreate our first pregnancy photo cause we’re cute like that)
Spent Saturday evening and Sunday soaking in the sun on the Washington coast but decided to first get some skiing in on my way to the coast. @spikesc, @weath100 and I found plenty of nice snow to ski in @olympicnationalpark. We skied several laps and even did a little pond skimming! I'll never grow tired of the diversity of outdoor activity options this state offers.
Celebrated @hefe_steele Father’s Day the only way we know how: he hiked 10 miles with Silas and his snowboard on his back. I was so wiped after this amazing run (the snow was perfect) that he also carried my board the last ~3 miles. Jeff, thank you for being such an amazing daddy to our boy and as always, an awesome husband and partner in life!! ❤️❤️❤️
Good weather: Optional
Good attitude: Mandatory.
Yesterday the closed section of Highway 40 opened allowing access to more terrain in K-country so following the old adage of 'you don't know until you go' @bradleystaple and I saddled up, grabbed our goretex (and Hawaiian shirt) and ventured off to see what's what at Rae rn. It was a rather damp approach but we found just enough new snow on the glacier to make it well worth our time. Who can say no to fresh snow in June? This month has been ticked off but we've got plans coming yet!.

Kick stepping our way up to the top of the Lyall Glacier last week. Frisco in the background. I’m so thankful for all the partners I’ve had in the backcountry this season, who’ve pushed me and helped me hone my skills. Can’t wait to be playing in pow again, but for now, I’m really digging these spring turns! #northcascades#wapass#brahpass#backcountryskiing#turnsallyear#monroski
For the last 24 months Maks and I have skied at least once a month together. Each month a story we will always remember. Owen has joined in and got his 19th. We got Liam out this month and even the dogs. Amy got to try out the trailer project while we camped in Mazama Washington. June 2018 Month 2️⃣4️⃣
The other day @salomonfreeski posed the question about whether skiing in June is the last day of the previous season, or the first day of the next. In a few weeks I will start my 10th season in Chile. Today was definitely not part of that, so I guess today was my last day of the 17/18 season. #overit 📷: @rileysod #timetoplay#oakleywindjacket#oakleyprizm @oakleyskiing
What would you add/remove? .
Pretty sure at least three items here will get cut for space... One day ski tour (not incl food) - No ropes/harnesses, crampons or pickets needed this time...
I always get told my pack is “big” - it’s gotten progressively better over the years but can still use some improvements! .
