... My taste buds have definitely changed through the course of my healthier living, I try foods I'd never had gone near & prefer foods I thought I'd hate!
Porridge was never my go to, like never ever, but I learnt how versatile it can be & is the base of this carrot cake breakfast!
Fancy giving it a try?
▪️1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
▪️1 scoop of vanilla whey isolate protein
▪️Tspn of Cinnamon
▪️1 chopped walnut
▪️Small helping of raisns
... & don't forget to mix!!! Always be mindful of the toppings & if your in a calorie deficit don't underestimate your calories.... For instance, 1 walnut is 26-30 calories, so you don't really want a handful on top of this breakfast.

Anyone ever get so tired of eating salads? 🙋🏽♀️
Ugh. The dreaded salad plateau where it doesn’t even matter what is on your plate, it’s just like ugh I don’t want to eat another salad 🙅🏽♀️🥗. .
Salads. The quintessential “health food”, the best way to cram as many healthy things together in one dish, but also something that can get soo played out, and quickly. .
It doesn’t have to be that way!
TIPS FOR REINVENTING THE SALAD:
1. Add texture. Nuts, seeds (pumpkin, sunflower), in this salad I crunched up some plantain chips.
2. Forget about regular dressings for a minute. Things like mustard, salsa, guacamole, or even fresh citrus and a bit of extra virgin olive oil can be a perfect change of flavor.
3. Switch up the standard grilled chicken breast for something else like leftover brats (pictured here), rice and beans, a veggie burger, or even a fried egg! .
Bottom line: forget about “standard” salads. You’d really be surprised how many delicious combinations are possible on a bed of greens. Get creative! Get over that yucky salad slump!

Not the most “attractive” photo, but sometimes self care = trying something new. I had the opportunity of experiencing laser hair reduction for the very first time. I wax because I can’t shave, so I was excited at the idea of laser, but nervous at the same time. End result, it did not hurt. I do still have some hair, but that will go in time. Looking forward to my next treatment.

I am a creature of habit. When I find a product I love, I am very loyal. That’s why I love samples and being part of the @influensterca community. Anyone else struggle with healthy eating? I'm that girl who wonders why she ends up with no cookies because she ate all the dough. BUT I tried this recipe and am surprisingly LOVING IT! 🍪
These protein bites are going to satisfy my cravings and fill me up! Yes. There are sugars in it, but the ingredients are better than the sugars I was eating before! Plus, one batch will last me a few days. HELLO afternoon pick me ups! 🍪

2 C oatmeal
1/2 c PB
1/4 c honey
Handful chocolate chips
1/4 c chia seeds
1/2 c coconut
1 scoop protein powder of your choice
Stir it all up and refrigerate for 30 minutes! Roll them in a ball and place in freezer/fridge!
-I sprayed my hands with olive oil before I rolled them.
-Adjust honey to get the texture you want!
Here goes nothing! Ready as I’m going to be. This is how it all starts. My first acrylic painting on canvas in I don’t even know how long. I saw this juvenile gull at the beach this morning. He was so cute. Jax and Zak we’re feeding him Goldfish crackers. His expressions were priceless. He made us all laugh. I took a couple photographs of him near the shoreline. I just loved the blues of the water and the sky against his markings and the sand. Ready to jump in! Hoping for the best and really not sure how it will turn out. The painting is finally beginning this summer. I’m finally excited to do this! This little gull is my muse. Who would have thought. Inspiration can hit us anywhere. You just have to be open to it. Ready to enjoy the process, make some mistakes and let it be what it will be.
