For sale - Mister Freedom x Tailor Toyo Mururoa limited edition collaboration souvenir jacket, size M. A very rare piece here from Mister Freedom's fall-winter 2016 collection. The Mururoa jacket is done in collaboration with the Tailor Toyo line, a part of the family of labels run by Toyo Enterprise (who also manufacture Mister Freedom). What we have here is definitely a classic Mister Freedom piece, their take on the classic souvenir jacket from the 1940s. The jacket is fully reversible, with a pea coat style outer (the fabric is actually Buzz Rickson's 36oz melton wool, the same fabric they use for their WWII-era pea coat replicas), while the interior is a cotton/rayon blend (also Buzz Rickson's pea coat liner fabric). Part of the fun here is that the interior is embroidered in rayon, very much a nod to old school souvenir jackets and in keeping with Tailor Toyo's embroidery work. Cuff interiors are similarly embroidered, and can be worn turned up, down or when you have the jacket reversed. The execution is ingenious, where there's a double front zip, double sided anchor buttons, and a set of three pockets on each side. It doesn't get much better than this. Retail was $750 from Mister Freedom, although this model is now almost completely sold out (only available in XL). Get it here at a much more reasonable price. See link in bio for details.
