It's often easy enough, to push through and "get it done" and what happens when your body starts to send you signals of pain and discomfort?
I've been in the kitchen the past couple of weeks for extended periods, on top of 30+ hours at a desk.
My body is definitely speaking too me!
Working here with a foam roller to increase mobility in the mid-spine which has correlations with the sacrum, which is where the pain is strongest.

Had my client in today, performed some proprioception exercises in order to help Gearoid regain his balance and strengthen his ligaments.

wowww I can’t believe I taught my first real class today with random people and everything! 🙃 I was honestly pretty nervous, but once I got started it ended up being such great time and it went really well! It was so cool to finally stand in the front of a studio as the TEACHER 🤩 I am endlessly thankful for my parents, @jackieshemaria, allllllll of my supportive friends and family who encouraged me in ANY way (you know who you are - love you all) ♥️ of course @theyogaunderground 🤗 and last but not least... I’m eternally grateful for the ridiculously amazing group of sweet, supportive, and hilarious (😜) women and teacher I was blessed with this past 5 weeks . As I sit here crying tears of joy, I am filled with gratitude from head to toe ✨🙏 .
I am not quite ready to leave Utah (lol of course), so we will see what happens! Try this release point!! 🙌💪🏽 If you slouch all day, your upper abdominals and diaphragm will be calcified, dehydrated and basically locked shut!
Get your release ball, slowly lie on top of the ball, sinking into the upper abdominal, slowly letting the tissue melt and take the pressure of the ball. Once sunk to the ultimate depth, slowly manoeuvre yourself so the pressure is applied under the ribcage into the diaphragm. Wait for the referral sensation to kick in, breathe deep and wait for 3-5 minutes! Repeat anywhere you feel needs it!!! We guarantee you will feel open, taller, and your breathing will improve overtime with consistent release to this area!
