If you know where you are going, take everything you need, and do not turn back🛶
It's the simple game of... Would you walk 1km with all your packs, or 3km, cause you had to do a return trip to pick up more gear?
To make sense of what happened or to simply accept its permanent existence in my memory? Option C, I presume, is a something in between.
If you theoretically could be
for a while
in my shoes
Especially in the shoes I 'wore' on Monday, the day which was dominated by a rare event,
an almost nine-hour hike in a mountain I'd never really been to.
You see, walking in forests and treeless expanses of grassland while at the same time gradually reaching a decent height.. DOES something to you.
It's never been about the physical aspect of the hike - I am more than able to put up with twelve hours of slow walking, let alone nine.
It's always been about how it makes me feel inside and what sacred questions I ask myself that lead to sacred answers.
Yesterday's biggest question
from which I had only one rational conclusion
was about our nature.
So much of it I've seen
yet in reality so little!
Whether it's Vitosha, Pirin or Rila
the Balkan mountains or the Rhodopes
just as I can see many similarities
I can acquire a specific understanding of the differences.
One extending beyond the borders of what's known.
It really isn't that big of a deal for a long-time mountain lover. But it can be for someone who's just started to fall in love.
A year ago I had no clue I was going to learn about and see so many breathtaking places.
Ordinary running had just tasted from the mountainous side of sports
which ultimately transformed it into what it is today.
Now I tend to take a lot of nature for granted.I hit the trails and enjoy myself to the fullest.Once in a while
like yesterday and today
I truly appreciate the world around me.
A blessed world with nature that MUST forever be preserved.
