Here’s the results! Today was race #3 of the 2nd Annual Winter Points Series hosted at P & T Hobbies and Raceway located in Mitchell, IN. In the first heat, Chase started 3rd and fell back to 4th. In the last few laps there was the sound of a lexan body rubbing a tire at a quick rate of speed but Chase couldn’t tell where it was coming from on the truck. All the fenders were fine, but after inspecting the truck after the race Chase found that the bolt that holds the right rear A-arm had backed out allowing the tire to tuck inside the body and rub the inside of the passenger side door. Quick and easy fix. In the second heat, Chase started 4th and finished 3rd. Things were looking better. In the third heat, Chase started 4th and finished 2nd. After a long day of heat racing and practice rounds it was time to begin the round of mains. Multiple classes had to run C and B-Mains due to such a great number of cars in attendance. There were 97 entries total including a new class of mini truggies. Now, back to the mains. In the A-Main Chase started 4th. Chase ran the tail for several laps and then began to move through the pack. He caught up to 3rd and had a terrific race for the 3rd position. But the race wasn’t over yet! The clock was ticking and Chase was nearing 2nd and 1st, at the last second Chase passed 2nd so he took home the 2nd position. “I’m so glad Paul, Drew and the whole track crew came together to make this points series happen. I’ve always wanted to run a points series rather than just individual races, but in the oval world of R/C there’s not a lot to offer in this area as far as points series go. I have no regrets switching the Slash over to off-road just to run a points series. It’s been a lot of fun and it’s still not over.” #melonheadmotorsports#traxxas#slash#rpm#stickykicksrc#kumhotires#smc#dynamite#integy#candycaneforatrophy#southernlakesmarine
