Guys, it’s been really, really hot and humid in Louisville lately, which really makes me wish I were back in the Phi Phi Islands, where it was also really, really hot and humid, but where I was able to snorkel in the middle of the ocean (with really cool fish to boot!).
A traveller's delight is to explore the less travel path, live the life of a local, eat with the community, knowing the culture, laugh with the locals and keep the memories for lifetime. In my quest to discover the unexplored I travelled to explore- Durgella- Shahpur- Boh Valley- Kareri Village.
The purpose of the travel was to promote community based travel, promotion of local culture and cuisine and a bit of off roading in Renault Duster 4wd.
And boy what an awesome experience it has been.
The trip planning was done by Anil Attri of The Traveller Trails Magazine.
The road trip of 1200kms in 4 days.
Road suggested by- Kumar HV aka Human GPS of India.
Stay- Forest Guest House- RidKmar, Shahpur- and Forest Reserve- Kareri Village.
Thanks Traveller Trails- Tourism by the People, for the people.
The nomadic solo adventures of Kimberly in Mongolia
“Ah! Little Mongolian rice ball. She’s only 4 years old and so cute (but also very mischievous). Running around all day and wanting to go on adventures with me and her older uncles! She’s definitely growing up to be a little heartbreaker! 😜”

“Dream Big, Eat Well & Bag Mode On”
I have to admit I have a thing for taking photos of street art. I am always drawn to find more of it. I enjoy being able to see the expression of the community, I love being able to capture it. This is one of my favorites! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
“One bus took us quite far up the mountain, but dropped us off at a lookout point. We had met a young boy there, with his grandma. He was throwing stones with us and kicking rocks while we waited. His grandmother explained she is the only one taking care of him, for his parents had both been taken. They were going to the mountain for answers. And many do. Real de Catorce is a mystical place that holds the legend of the 14 banditos that hid in the mountains to evade the Spanish and retain their gold. The powerful cactus growing nearby attracts a steady flow of those looking to be enlightened, and the breathtaking mountainous village views as the village is nestled like a child in it’s mother arms, protected by the mountain range.
We searched an hour and half for about 16 Peyote buttons through brush and desert. After about 3 hours on horseback, through the narrow mountain cliffs.
Each time we found one, we had to stab in it’s eye (middle), to kill it, then cut it out with a machete, and finally sacrifice some tobacco on the freshly cut base.” ————————————————————————丂卂匚尺乇爪乇几ㄒ卂ㄥ丨ㄒㄚ
