Helllooooo! It’s #FridayIntroductions day. So here goes…
I’m a writer, photographer, on-camera host, videographer and chronic adventurer who has explored all seven continents.
As a multimedia storyteller, my job is to scour the globe for the amazing and obscure, interview people I admire (Kerri Walsh Jennings, Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz to name a few) and film and photograph some of the most incredible places on earth.
As a journalist with almost 20 years of editorial experience, I’ve covered everything from business topics to the Quidditch World Championships (yes, it’s a real sport, and it’s surprisingly awesome), but my areas of specialty are adventure travel, health/wellness and fitness.
I write for USA Today, CNN.com, NBC.com, espnW.com espnw.com, Go Escape, Green Living, Scuba Diving, Matador Network, foxnews.com and Modern Woman.
In 2012, I started hosting videos for usatoday.com's travel section. That led to loads of epic assignments like piloting a plane, spending QT with penguins in Antarctica and diving with very large but friendly tiger sharks.
Good work leads to more good work, right? So I began hosting travel videos for tourism departments like Visit Orlando and filming international travel content for clients like Matador Network.
I dig the entire process: scripting, juggling logistics, shooting video, serving as on-camera talent and collaborating on the editing process.
I also produce branded content for companies large and small and enjoy the content marketing work I do for Walt Disney World Resort, Florida Hospital and Hilton.
I am stoked about creating inspirational content and would love to work with YOU in 2019. Please feel free to peruse my website sarahsekula.com. 😀
You don't need to travel the world to practice your photography, video making or editing skills. We used our funky weekend getaway to create a short 15-second video and test out a new camera. ☺️ Also working on some stuff about our home town Amsterdam. Do you try to brush up your skills when you're at home, not traveling?
Have a great weekend all!! ✌🏻
