“Ask any racer. Any real racer. It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.” I most certainly wasn’t the fastest but I did have a blast working on my driving skills on the track with @porschecanada and I think that’s still winning. More on the blog soon about my #porscheexperience .
I’ve come a long way from the one and only other time I’ve cross-country skied: as an elementary school kid, I hated every second of it and was so slow; the entire bus of students on the field trip was waiting for me on the bus ready to leave as I panicked and skiied back as fast as I could, alone. This morning’s ski? It was a refreshing and fun way to take in the beauty of Canmore 🏔❄️🌲, and a great workout!
My calendar is just filled with ways to keep @billiejeanxoxo’s tail happily wagging and ears flopping about as she explores 💙.
Love getting out to parts of the city we don’t get to very often, especially on gorgeous sunny days like today.
In 2016, I traveled solo to Calgary and Banff National Park 💙. Solo travel can sometimes be hard (I remember being so happy to meet an American in Florence to chat in English with after so many days of not engaging with anyone) but this trip to Alberta to one of my most favourite spots in the world, on my own, I learned a lot about myself and loved every minute of this adventure (even getting lost a million times driving!). Do you enjoy traveling solo?
I’ve been home for three months straight now, which is the longest I’ve been home in the past four or five years. And while I love to travel, and being somewhere warm and tropical or skiing down some beautiful mountains right now would be amazing, my schedule has not been good for me. It’s been a luxury to sleep in my own bed and not have to stress about unpacking, repacking and getting all my shit done in very little time these past few months. I’ll never turn down the opportunity for new experiences around the world and I’ll always have an ongoing travel bucket list, but being home and having a routine is good, too 💙. #travelswellness#wanderlust#homesweethome#selfcare#selfcaresunday
It’s been nearly five years since I traveled to Grasse, France, with the founders of @lelabofragrances to learn about how they create their fragrances. Which is your fave scent from #LeLabo ? I love #Rose31 but also like Santal 33✨. And have you been to the Côte d’Azur?
Make it muddy! 🙈 I got naked and immersed myself into this thick, warm mud in Calistoga 🛀. If only it were a "detox" so I could get back to retox-ing with even more Napa wine 🍷... I did walk out with baby-soft skin, though! Find my guide to a great feel-good getaway to Napa Valley @amongmenmag. 🍇🏃🏻♀️🍝💆🏻🚲 #napavalleyspirit#hotelsdotcom#calistoga#napaswellness#travelswellness
I always want to have my cake and eat it, too 🍰... how ‘bout you?
I wish I’d had more time to check out Chicago’s concrete canvas. There’s great #streetart everywhere. This mural is “You Know What You Should Do” by Jeff Zimmerman. #chicago#wanderlust#chicagoswellness#travel
Recovery is my favourite part about marathon-ing...other than crossing that finish line, obvs..... •
Beautiful Napa was an idyllic spot to escape to after my race, with plenty of activities to keep the body moving, and just as many ways to decompress ✨🍂🍷🍃#napavalleyspirit#wanderlust#travelswellness#napaswellness
