wandering the streets and finding amazing gems was a big theme during my time in italy, and taormina was definitely no exception. this was one of my many favorite streets that i found, complete with that adorable red fiat. sicily in august is HOT but luckily, the town features lots of restaurants, shops, and gelato spots with A/C, along with tons of cute spots like this all within easy walking distance. by the way, at this point in the trip i had been obsessed with finding the perfect hat - and i found it in taormina! felt super cute and was able to keep cool in my hat/dress combo this day, and took lots of photos. more to come ☺️💗
I can't remember what they called the syndrome, I read an article the other day and psychologists are diagnosing individuals with similar symptoms while traveling, mostly due to the over stimulation that comes with traveling. People describe fatigue, nausea, and depression. I've never experienced this but Morocco has to be one of those countries that people are most susceptible to. It's filled with visual complexity, loud noises, crazy drivers. Oh yeah and crazy smells like the odors flowing from this spice market in Fez! Hilariously enough I bet the spice market has a cure for this travelers sickness.
💗💫 Posting a throwback shot because my time in Texas has not been conducive to fanciful photos. It has, however, contributed to giving me all. the. feels. And helping me unpack some things that got stuck way down at the bottom of my metaphorical emotional/mental backpack.
I am joyful to have time to reflect and recharge. There are doors that need to be closed, there are accomplishments that need to be recognized and appreciated, there are mistakes that need to be acknowledged at the very least, and there is badassery brewing in this holiday.
I have learned so much this year, and I feel like I am on the verge of some of the biggest lessons yet to come. I am filled with humility and gratitude. I am ready for more.

Capturing the Assumption Cathedral in the Dubrovnik Old City. Built and rebuilt over many periods 7th, 10th, 11th and 12th century on top of other cathedrals ... surviving both man made and natural assaults... it is grand but not ostentatious. I like this representation... ❤️ @dubrovnik_tourist_guide
