We decided to detour from the trail to Laguna de los Tres to cone and view the Glaciar Piedras Blancas...and we were not disappointed! We had a wonderful view of the glacier and the gorgeous glacial lagoon from this perch, and we were treated to some thunderous breaks in the glacier to boot!
It’s the small things in life that make a difference.
Nearly 3 months ago I posted a picture of a young Ni-Vanuatu boy surfing in a local surf Comp with a board held together with duct tape.
The response was overwhelming within 3 days we had nearly 20 surfboards donated and ready to be shipped to Vanuatu 🇻🇺. We researched the cost of shipping them over to the islands from Sydney and set up a fundraiser to pay for the cost of shipping, again peoples generosity was amazing and within 24 hrs we had the funds available to ship the boards.
A long wait for the kids at Pango Village of nearly 2 months to ship the boards and clear customs.
This morning we were able present the boards to these amazing kids with smiles from ear to ear.
This was not before we rallied together to get the beach cleaned up.
It astounds me how simple and effortless it was to create happiness for so many kids.
One Facebook post designed to raise awareness creates a movement that as potentially changed the life of 19 lucky and very happy children in a small island in the South Pacific.
To everyone involved in the act of kindness I thank you with all my heart.
