#TBT 🇺🇸Last weekend 🌞 enjoying the outdoors summer weather with my love 💕 @michael_cortez86 .
In my last YouTube Video I talked about the importance of finding your WHY (click the link in my bio to watch it 😉). Why do you want to exercise, eat healthy? Why is it important for you?. -
Let me share my WHY with you: I love fitness because it helped me gain confidence in myself, I love the feeling of pushing myself during an exercise routine, I like the endorphins I feel, it makes me feel happy ✨ I also like to feel that I’m in control of what I’m eating, and that I can improve my self discipline and other attributes of my character through living a healthier lifestyle. I also like to feel good about myself, and look beautiful for myself and for my husband 💕😊. He’s such a good man and has been so good to me! My #1 inspiration, he went all the way to Venezuela 🇻🇪 just to marry me 😍☺️. So, as his wife, I always want to make him proud and fall in love with me daily.
What is your WHY? 😉🙌🏼.
Cual es tu POR QUE? 😉🙌🏼
Morning! This is @mattbeckmannimages doing a takeover for the next 5 days, this is day 4. Right next to Bisti lies the Ah-she-sle-pah wilderness area, a similiar wasteland that is a bit more difficult to get to but again has amazing rock formations. The bisti/Ah-she-sle-pah area is an excellent place for hiking, as long as you are prepared. A variety of formations are usually within a mile or two of any parking area, and the relatively flat landscape means you can cover ground fast. Bring plenty of water though, as temps can reach over 100 degrees easily, and storms can make some areas impassible or very muddy. This particular night, I hiked a mile to get to this spot, and waited for what turned out to be a very photogenic sunset over the formations.
Welcome to the Club.
Santa Rosa is a gold mine of Route 66 relics, and sadly only the sign remains for the historic Club Cafe. It opened in 1935 (or 37, I've seen both dates) and was an instant hit on the Mother Road. The chef was also the owner for many years; he used to sell newspapers outside the restaurant as a young boy. Famous for its sourdough biscuits, blue corn tortillas, and Fat Man mascot, it fell victim to a recession and chain restaurants in the 90s. It was demolished in 2015, and if that doesn't put an ache in your heart then we can't be friends.
These old treasures are disappearing by the day and I hate it. Get out and see what you can.. before the big guys drive everyone out of town. Better yet, choose a local place to stop on your next road trip. You just might save them for the next guy to see.
This is @mattbeckmannimages doing a takeover for the next 5 days, this is day 3. My next location is probably my favorite spot in all of New Mexico, if not all of the Southwest, The Bisti badlands in Northern New Mexico. Bisti is a vast wasteland that used to be at the bottom of an ocean that covered much of New Mexico, and is desolate and insanely weird yet strikingly beautiful. The variety of rock formations you can find within defy imagination, like these ones, popularly known as the cracked eggs, which took on some nice color after a beautiful sunset.
