„Remember: Happiness is a way of traveling, not a destination.“ (Roy Goodman“) This is week 7 of my travels, week 3 of my New Zealand Roadtrip.
Although I get much better in „living and loving the moment“ every day, the thought of my departure from NZ and then in January from Australia now and then pops up. And more and more, the thought of going back to Germany in the darkness of winter leaves a sore taste in my mouth and my heart feels trapped again. This has always been the feeling when I went on holiday and had to go back home. But this time it’s supposed to be different, as I am not going back into my old life, old job, old habits - I will rather create a new reality on my very own terms.
My Qigong Teacher already tried to prepare me for my homecoming in one of our healing sessions and told me to just ask the universe for a little help and let it make its sensational job. And to always remember, that I have the power to do absolutely everything I want, even eventually deciding to stay away a little longer than planned.
Trust and letting go of control has never been an easy way to go for me, but I suppose that’s gonna be my mission for the next couple of weeks/months.
What works perfectly fine in those kinds of state-of-minds is having a long and silent walk through NZs nature. Today’s 21kms through the famous Abel Tasman National Park left me body-and-mind-sore, as both could hardly process the beauty of this place.
Therefore, I let them rest now by letting go, releasing everything that lies heavy in my heart and lets the mind monkey swing from disturbing thought to disturbing thought. 🐒 💖Love the moment and live the process. Xo 💖

I look like my grandmother. This trip to Australia and meeting a lot of my family, I've learnt so much about her. It's been a real eye opener and I think she'd be proud of me ❤️ she was an adventurous woman who travelled the world, an incredible artist and described by all as #different , #alternative and #creative ! She was born in #scotland and moved to #Canada in her 20's then to #Hongkong in her 30's for a while and then she went travelling all around #Asia (including horse riding up the Himalayas!) and slowly back to the south of #England where she died at a young age in her 40's leaving 4 wonderful kids and a whole lot of art behind her. A life well lived and one I'd like to emulate ❤️🙏❤️ #bestgrandma#powerfulwomen#travellingwomen#traveltheworld#backtattoo
Day 7: One week in Bali 🇮🇩
We were off schedule today, but it was totally worth it. A little bit of improvisation is always welcome in a long trip like this one.
Our trip started with Batuan Temple and Goa Gaha "the elephant cave". The most intense moment of the day was the holy water purification ritual at Tirta Empul Temple, in Tampaksiring.
We ended our tour having fun with the swing over Tegallalang Rice Fields.
Our last night in Ubud, since we will ahead Gili Islands to relax on the beach 🏖️ #bali#indonesia#tegallalang#tegallalangswing#holywaterpurification#tampaksiring#tirtaempul#travelasia#travellingwomen
New Zealand life in a nutshell.
I have visited a lot of countries by now and when I came to Australia for the first time, I was fascinated by the shiny colours of its nature. The grass was so much greener, the sky’s blue so much bluer than anything I had seen before.
Now, I am in this country called New Zealand - far far away on the other side of the world with a moon that increases horizontally rather than vertically, with harsh winds coming from the Antarctica from time to time, and with its people that kiss your cheek goodbye after asking for the way.
My first 1,5 weeks were worth a lifetime of nature’s wonders, some glowwormy cave, volcano crater, steamy geyser or geothermal moon field lurking behind every shiny green hobbit hill. That New Zealand got me, with every piece of flesh, my every brain cell and my whole existence. 🇳🇿❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🇳🇿 All that combined with not one deadly animal, no hairy spiders as big as a hand, no sneaky snakes crawling up you toilet path and no gekkos to share your bedroom with makes NZ my new favorite on the list of my personal most-loved-countries. 😍
But: NZ definitely needs more Yoga Spots besides Hot Yoga and Ashtanga. ☺️
