*Throwback Thursday!* just had to be a memory of summer on this cold, winter’s day. This delicious fresh and vibrant breakfast is thanks to @belmondhoteldascataratas one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in. Overlooking the Iguaçú falls it’s the only hotel in the park on the #Brazil side, this means 24hr access to the wondrous falls. Service is impeccable and the food is amazing. The most incredible choice, all super fresh and allergies are extremely well catered for 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 #5outof5#burntbasil#burnt
🤯 Mindblown by how awesome the food is at a spa!
Checked out the destination spa, @SteAnnesSpa, that's about 1 hour 20 mins from Toronto. Set in an 1858 stone house with 400 acres of scenic, this all-inclusive spa resort has both day and overnight packages.
Dinner is included in the overnight package and it has a daily changing beef feature from cows raised on their farm! 👌

🦆: Duck meat rice and duck innards soup
📍: Duck Zhen | Kaohsiung, Taiwan
🗣️: I've had some dirt cheap meals in SE Asia, but this one takes the cake for best value. For less than $3 I got a huge bowl of rice topped with tender pork belly and duck breast AND an even bigger bowl of soup packed with duck liver, gizzard, and intestine. The innards were a bit much for me, but I still managed to choke down a few pieces (hope you're proud, mom and dad). The rice was absolutely incredible - meaty and full of flavor. Well done, Kaohsiung, your food scene may be even better than Taipei's
It's not exactly food, but recently made a trip out to the Grove and did some shopping around #kingsville . It's awesome to support local! Check out The Dutch boys for amazing quality chocolate and great stories, the Christkindl Market for some great one of a kind finds, @colour_vine_online for some quality clothes and of course WINE. What are your favourite Kingsville hot spots? @kingsvillebia @grovebrew
🌿 CONTEST 🌿
Slowly getting in the mood for the Holidays 🌟
Last week I organised my thanksgiving dinner, and for the table I was partially helped by IKEA 💙 I found a lot of really cool stuff such as the dark blue plates, the gold candles, smaller gold decorations, they had a lot of cool stuff and not only « typical » Christmas decorations, which I’m trying to avoid). The good news is: you can win a gift card of 50€ to create your own Christmas Table 🌿 Contest will run until Friday midnight 🕛

🍜: Dry beef noodles
📍: Gang Yuan Beef Noodles | Kaohsiung, Taiwan
🗣️: My first time ordering beef noodles dry and I don't know why I waited so long. These were friggin' DELICIOUS. The first few bites were a little underwhelming but then I added a dash of crushed garlic and chili sauce and omg. Straight up perfection. I wish I could come back here and have these again but there are still about 15 other beef noodle restaurants I need to try before I leave Kaohsiung in 2 days 😭
London’s famous salt beef bagel. I’m not sure why they spell bagel “beigel” in this country but it tickles me every time I see it written. Make sure to visit beigel bake, not beigel shop a few doors down, the former can be identified by it’s refusal to sell rainbow bagels (beigels).
Tasty Congee & Noodle Wantun Soup - This is our family’s departure ritual: check-in to airline at Central, eat wonton noodles here. A very good, classic bowl of wonton noodles. #hkeats#travellingfoodie#wontonnoodles
This is how they serve the natural fizzy Txakoli at Bodega Donostiarra, San Sebastián & in the rest of Pais Vasco for that matter, it goes excellent with all the fantastic pintxos & tapas! .
You can find both red (less common) & white Txakoli, to produce this high acidity wine they use the main varieties grapes Hondarribi Beltaz (red) & Hondarribi Zuria (white).
Soft Shell Crab? 🦀 Thai and stop me from ordering. 😋
Opened around middle of last year, @silomtoronto serves Thai street food by Church and Wellesley.
Under Si Lom's Signature Dishes is the Pad Thai Soft Shell Crab which is something I'll obviously order since I'll typically order dishes with soft shell crab (and I also like Pad Thai). The crab was big and meaty. 😋 I really loved the noodles too, but I found it quite sweet so I'll probably ask for less sweet next time. Pro Tip: If you also find it sweet, what I did was mix the noodles with some curry. We got Panang Fish which was so good! 👌

🍜: Half tendon, half beef noodle soup with firm tofu and rice cake(?)
📍: Dong Ding Beef Noodle Soup | Taitung, Taiwan
🗣️: Here's another good meal I had in Taitung. This was probably the third best beef noodle soup I'd had to date (though it's already been bested by San Niu in Kaohsiung), but the highlight of the meal was the sides in the background, which were excellent. Really flavorful "dougan" tofu, and some sort of delicious flat, chewy thing that tasted like a savory rice cake (anyone know what it's called?)
