Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose, The Wonder Years -
Finally I can get up and sit longer after two weeks of postpartum / confinement. It’s been really hard for me with all the pain due to labour difficulty. I still can’t bend down, stand or siting for too longer than 30-50mins per day but I am getting better, or that at least I am able to do some tiny bit of creative work
Once again thank you so much for all the wishes and prayer for our family, we can’t thank you all enough!
We got off to a rocky start; my host had given me the go ahead to pat him, but when I saw the rope and his pooch pout I asked if I could take him for a walk. When I approached the yard his sad eyes lit up, his floppy tail wagged furiously and he leapt up to greet me with slobbery kisses. When I went to untie the rope he became even more animated and stood on his hind legs so he could wrap his front paws around me in a kind of bear hug. I hadn’t expected the sudden affection so I pulled back and he reacted by sinking his teeth into my left bum cheek (🙈). When I cried out and fell to the ground he went back to covering me in slobbery kisses. I needed a stitch, had a blue bum and couldn’t sit properly for a week, but the cute friendship we developed made it all worthwhile.. #gentlegiant
✈︎ In the end we only regret the chances we didn’t take.
There will be 100 things that will get in the way of planning. The journey is full of the unexpected and unplanned situations. But... the best times you will have come from rolling with the spontaneity.
We all have a few "absolutely not" things on our list when we travel. For me, it is eating bugs. For Scott, it is getting in water or stepping on sand. I will always remember this very special moment, when he actually did both. We travelled all the way to the beautiful Island of Zanzibar and he stepped into the ocean with me so that I wouldn't have to play in the water alone. Don't be fooled by his smile, he hated every second of it. That's #truelove .
What is on your list of "absolutely will not do"?
Road trip Algarve 1.
Finally - a full week to spend in another country! I was hungry to discover new places, see another culture and history, eat different foods - and most of all to get new sketch motifs. With me I had simple sketch tools. Two small sketchbooks, a pair of black and white pens, a multicolor pen, travelsize watercolor paint and some double-sided color pencils. All this goes easily into a handbag, and it is not very heavy either. Feel welcome to join this trip and follow my steps through my sketches!
#Artistic soul attracted to artistic cities. 🍭 .
I stopped believing artists were less capable of leadership skills because of the strong need/desire to create instead of working on discipline and structure! Now I view it SO differently bcuz I think there’s so much your soul can guide you with on that level if you really allow it. YES, there’s work to be done in the discipline area, but the artist in you will change lives and impact so many people, DO NOT tame it - work around it! @tonyrobbins gave me new perspectives on combining business and artist skills, it has been a huge eye opener! Artists tend to feel guilty to turn things to business, when really, you can’t change lives if you can’t create a successful environment in order to create 10X THE F’cking VALUE! 💥

Love my new vintage charm, found it at the Book Soup, LAX. I was gifted 20usd for my supposedly airport snack. I bought it with stickers and this charm instead. 🤣 I also added the kindred cord charm bracelet from Alex and Ani, also a gift (our supposedly friendship bracelet) with words that resonated so much during my short trip: Passion, Desire and Ecstacy.
In Tita Jean's words... "ang dali mo naman pasayahin" 😅
When I choose to LIVE, I am also choosing my happiness.
Now playing: I Lived by One Republic... 🎶 so that sums up my 3-week journey, discovering and rediscovering my brave heart. "Hope that you fall in love
And it hurts so bad (Yeah)
The only way you can know
You gave it all you had
And I hope that you don't suffer
But take the pain
Hope when the moment comes,
I, I did it all"
Chos lang. Mas eto talaga... "With every broken bone
I swear I lived"
To Mama and myself, delayed celebration but cheers to us! We won. I lived. Our happy memories will forever live in my heart. You never really left me. ❤
Grateful to everyone who gave their love and support through and through. ❤
.🇺🇲: A year ago, we were on a flight to Los Angeles ... We were embarking on a 4-month world tour with our children aged 5 and 4 ... United States, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia , Thailand and Namibia ... It was fantastic ... Tonight before the children fall asleep I reminded them that it was already a year ago ... Robin told me, dreamy, "mom, it would be so nice to redo a Around the world ... " Oh yes, that would be good !! We made it a whole year 10 years ago, so the "never 2 without 3 can apply ..." 🤗🖤 Tonight I fall asleep elsewhere ...
Day 8- Granada in salita.
#interrail#roadtrip#backpacking#europe#spain#granada#andalusia#andalucia#alhambra#traveljournal#reportage#backpack
