Under my UMBRELLA Ella Ellaaaaaa. 🌂Slovakia, you are gorgeous. If you’re at a loose end this weekend, take a trip to this stunning country: there is so much to see and do and it’s ridiculously cheap. 🙏✨🙏
Every year in August, Sanlúcar De Barrameda celebrate the Patronesses Festivals and they line the most important streets with salt. On the eve, all the children bring out their buckets and spades to fill with white salt. Zoe tried to help spread it but ended up wanting to just put all the salt back in her bucket, undoing all the good work of the other kids lol 😂 Come morning time, these salt carpets have been colored brightly and everyone comes out to celebrate the evening procession to honor Lady Of Caridad (Charity). So beautiful & so much fun!!
I grew up in a small coastal town, so to me the smell of salty sea air and the sound of waves are incredibly familiar and healing. I've been lucky to see some beautiful beaches in my time, but grandfather beach in the Dawei Peninsular of Myanmar was probably my favourite for its wild, rugged, moody, and lonesome landscape.
