✨PHOTOS from Mini-Tour and Review of New Kotoka Airport Terminal (T3) // The @kotoka_intl Airport Terminal 3 is comparable to topnotch airports I’ve travelled through across the world. Was Facebooking and Tweeting with “KIA free WiFi” earlier. Latest technology, well organized, professionalism from officials and staff, and #MadeInGhana products in duty free. .
Was particularly happy to chance upon @HelloKaeme @peiniskincare @tamabeautyfromnature products in The Shea Shop 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾! There’s also a new coffee shop / eatery called Beans and Cream - their tuna salad was pretty good. And @WildGeckoHandicrafts stocks a set of #ChimamandaAdichie ’s books 🤓alongside crafts from across #Africa . @adubeajensen has some really creative and beautiful luxury bead handbags too!
I used the bathroom - automated taps and soap dispensers 😎 (#bathroomselfie ) Didn’t have time to find @vidaecaffeghana and @nallemclothing but they are both there too along with a chocolate shop (seems local #ghanachocolate although I didn’t recognize the brand). Let’s just say if it’s shopping you wanna do, you now have options. 🛍
All in all, the airport management seems to be doing things right 👌🏾 - and oh, everyone (passengers, officers, staff, workers) just seem happier 😄 Looks like I’ll have to update my 2016 article cautioning travellers about going through KIA 😂 .
Seems too good to be true? I did a walk through on my Facebook profile (Facebook.com/jabdulai).
P.S. In my “kid in a candy shop” excitement I left my jacket at security. Went back and it was waiting for me. They even have a log book to indicate when lost items are picked up. I mean 👏🏾👏🏾 (and no, I didn’t lose it intentionally 😂). Bon, follow @kotokacity for more photos and updates from the new airport terminal and let me know what you think. Happy travels! // Swipe left for more photos! 📸: @circumspecte_ .
This is Bobo Ayisi Island at a distance.According to legends, the gods punished a young man for his disobedience by sending dwarfs who subjected him to severe beating until he was saved by elders of the town who found him after searching for several days. The Island became known as ‘BOBOO AYISI’ which translates to ‘where Ayisi was beaten’ in English. It was later corrupted to BOBO AYISI. It’s located 1.8km from the town of Axim and Axim Castle. Are you aqua phobic, this is definitely not the right place for you😄😄
Kakum National Park is on coast of southern Ghana, in West Africa. It protects an area of rainforest, home to endangered mammals such as forest elephants, bongo antelopes and primates like the Diana monkey. The park is rich in butterflies and birds, including African grey parrots and hornbills. The Canopy Walkway, suspended 30 meters above the ground, provides treetop views of the forest. #kakum#kakumnationalpark#capecoast#tourism#travel#travelghana#canopywalkway#canopywalk #

Until July 1958,the issue of currency was the responsibility of (WACB)west Alkebulan pound, shillings and pence. After independence the new monetary authority, Bank of Ghana took over and introduced the “Cedi” which was derived from the word sedi3.. After CPP was overthrown... Since then it has been the unit of currency of Ghana for exchange of goods and services. It is the fourth historical and only current legal tender in the Republic of Ghana. One cedi is divided into one hundred pesewas (Gp).

I had a long list of places that I wanted to visit in Ghana but sadly, my stay was very short and I had so much to do for the @official_paceworldfoundation project.
Despite the busy schedules, I decided to visit the places that I could even if for few hours and trust me when I say, I did!
I am certainly missing Ghana🇬🇭🇬🇭 but my second post in promoting Ghana is all about @peduasevalleyresort. I went there for just few hours, but I had a time of my life. I definitely had to write a piece on this place and it is now on Lizakuks.com (link in bio)
