I’ve been slacking with my foodie pictures from #Lisbon but not due to a shortage of amazing food spots! We have really enjoyed the endless coffee, deserts, fresh meats/cheeses and of course wine! Beautiful city and awesome food 👌🏽🇵🇹
I love Chirashi because of the vibrant colors, flavors, and textures, layered into one bowl👌🏼I do recommend sitting at the bar to watch the chefs’ delicate knife skills and technique, as well as to converse and learn about the dish they present you with!
Lunch dates while traveling. 🥤 🥘 While our son was having a great time bonding with his cousins, Hubby and I took the opportunity to spend some quality time together as well. ♥️ 👫 This was during our unplanned trip to my home country last summer. ☀️ ✈️ More about those dates on the blog today. 👆 Have a great weekend! 🙌 #lynndeeeats
Any foodies in the house? 🙌🏾 Anytime I visit a city with a Michelin-starred restaurant you best believe I am there! Sometimes the experiences are just okay and other times they will completely blow your mind. The higher the star, the better? Not always. But if you're up for the gamble you may end up enjoying the best meal of your life!
Bouchon Bistro in Yountville (one Michelin ⭐) - hit the Bouchon Bakery next door to the restaurant. You'll save some time and money! 😉
‘Tis the season! (for apple pastries for breakfast)
Learned this recipe from a fellow farmhand (from France!) when I was working on a farm in the Czech Republic with apples we picked that evening overlooking a castle ruin in the distance. Almost as delicious in NYC, but quite a different view.
Quite happy that my Peace Lily is constantly growing new leaves. This plant is known to purify air inside the home. It breaks down and neutralize toxic gases. It is very easy to care, too. #plant#peacelily#wellness#finds#travelfoodfinds | 17 Oct 18
I love fish and chips, especially when I’m at the lake. This meal in Ludington was the perfect lunch after a day at the beach. The fish was so crispy, and the coleslaw was very refreshing. I only wish there were more pieces of fish. Nonetheless, this was a very delicious meal🤤🐠
Week 2 of being sick, and all I can think about is this grapefruit gelato! It even made an appearance in my dream last night, haha. •
Missing Edinburgh more than ever, happy to be home and back on a routine, but wishing I was still running around Europe eating ice cream for breakfast 🍦
Always a good sign when a place fills up 10 minutes within opening 😂 Highly recommend the duck carpaccio with Piedmonte cheese and walnuts, market fresh #seabass , and #lobster risotto 😋 #LifeinLausanne#tbt ❤️
Sundays are for brunching. Savory pancakes with poached eggs, guacamole and tomato salsa, with a side of kale crisps. The pancakes were made of spelt and some other flours and so fluffy, light and tasty!
Washed down with a glass of blue mojito kombucha and a virus killer super smoothie! Perfect 👌
That happy face when my afternoon ice cream snack looks like an emoji 🍡😋 These little bite-sized heaven are Japanese ice cream mochi from @littlemoonsmochi and you really have to try all the flavours because they are all so yum! 💗 #mochi#mochiicecream#ad
While I eat palak paneer back in Delhi, here’s a recap of my favourite #Slovenian#foodings . The star was the Prekmurska gibianca #layercake with poppy seeds, walnuts, apples and raisins. Featured here are the #Kranjska sausage, #Bohinj trout with barley, the #Bled ‘Kremšnita’ cream cake, the Prekmurska, piggy in its street food version and piggy in it’s fine dining version. The wines were mostly delicious too, and I have an entertaining #story I’d love to tell you if you ask me about #wine and #Slovenia .
The story of how we had lunch with the Jamaican PNP🇯🇲...
It's crazy how different smells, sounds, and otherwise unimportant details of our day to day life can trigger memories from past travels...This time it's the smell of someone's lunch at the office that's taking me back to our most recent vacation and easily one of the best meals I've ever had. After our waterfall excursion, Kemal offered to take us to local spot for our taste of authentic Jamaican jerk chicken. As we drove, he explained all that the cooking process involved:
Sat atop pieces of wood from the pimento tree, the chicken slowly cooks and absorbs oils directly from the surface of the wood. All the while, the meat is bathing in the fragrant steam and smoke produced by the green wood and the charcoals underneath. While chicken is an obvious favorite, the same cooking process can be applied to other cuts of meat as well. Tyler and I preferred the chicken but the pork was delicious tool!😋
So as I'm drooling over the meal we're about to devour, Kemal casually mentions that members of the PNP (one of the two major political parties in Jamaica) are sitting at the table next to us. In fact, joining them was the former Minister of Foreign Affairs. Apologies if that's not the official title, Ty and I are both struggling to remember the details.. I think we were obviously distracted by the deliciously spicy food in front of us. 🤤 No promises that you'll have our same lunch mates if you ever make it down to Jamaica, but I can promise you will have one of the most incredible meals of your life.. don't hesitate to go back for seconds, I wish we had 😉
