Robin and I have been brainstorming what cities/destinations to visit + feature next. We'll always keep sharing city and travel guides, but I'm really into the 48-hour weekend guide - you guys seemed to be into it, too! What city should we create a guide for next? Got a place on your mind we can help with a guide? Let me know and we just may visit!! #whimsysoultravels#weekendguide ⠀
🏠 The idea of "home" gets more complex the more places I've lived and traveled. 🌎
I'll always be a Mainer at heart (I'm sure you're tired of my gushing about it by now 😉). But I've also been captivated by Latin America, and the semester I spent in Costa Rica shifted my perspective and feelings about what it means to be "home." I've now been living outside Philadelphia for more than 15 years and I gotta say, it's kinda grown on me. It's sort of this affection and pride that snuck up on me over the years.
It's gritty. Proud. Rich with history. Beautiful. No nonsense.
I love days when I can hop on the train and head into the city to explore—I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of this city's culture and personality.
Where do you call home? 🗺 What would you want someone who's visiting to know about what makes it so amazing or special (or just quirky)?
All the bags are packed...
Today, I came across the article by Business Insider and there they cited Hermann von Keyserling, who wrote in the epigraph to his 1919 book "The Travel Diary of a Philosopher" that "the shortest path to oneself leads around the world." #businessinsider#travelgirl#travelphotography#traveletting
Valeu, mundo... VOCÊ É FODA! Seja bem vindo, 30tão! 📸 do meu amor lindo, minha melhor metade!
Living abroad is a freaking rollercoaster, guys. Some days you feel on top of the world, and others you feel like that same world is straight up shitting on you🤗💩 Just a reminder that pretty photos can easily hide all the REAL 💩 life consists of. And since we’re on the topic of 💩, HAPPY MONDAY🎊 #myperkspective#myperkaintprettytoday#myperkgreece
I spent yesterday mostly barefoot and dressed in a swimsuit, laying in the sun, swimming in the lake and talking about life, motherhood, and our favorite book reads with one of my favorite humans on this planet 🌾#follyclo#ontheroad in #potsdam#berlin with @van.o ~
It's easy for me to feel like I *always* need to do all the social media and blogging things--everywhere I go. The thing is, I really love capturing experiences and sharing them with you. So while it's hard work, it's also FUN work.
But there are times that I need to step back and intentionally savor moments. It doesn't mean I'm not still noticing details or snapping photos, but in those moments I choose to disconnect from the world of social media so I can connect with what (and who) is around me. Can you relate? How do you stay in the moment while traveling or "reset" in your everyday life?
This weekend I went I @sketchlondon and I have a few observations:
1) I’ve never seen so many people so excited to take pictures of toilets
2) Peeing in one of these things was actually extremely trippy
3) I had the best time (generally, not specifically in the toilet)
