Here’s one for your bucket list: witnessing the desert sun rising over River Nile before showering its golden rays over the valley. A month on and the trip still remains more surreal than I’d ever imagine: thousands of years have passed, civilizations have came and went, yet the Nile still flows and the desert remains.

So many pyramids already and we haven’t even got to the big ones yet! Visited Saqqara and Memphis, with some ruins dating back almost 5000 years! This is Egypt’s first “pyramid”, the step pyramid, built ~2700 BC. #egypt#saqqara#travelegypt#steppyramid
Moving on to our next city, Alexandria.
Located in the Mediterranean coast, this city truly reflects the beauty of the Mediterranean and is rightly called the “pearl of the Mediterranean.” The beautiful coastal roads, the old-fashioned yet charming buildings and the scrumptious food will definitely make you fall in love with the city. There are many points of interest like the Alexandrina Bibliotheca, Montaza Palace, Lighthouse of Alexandria. On an average a day or two is more than enough to cover these places.
This shot was taken at the Citadel of Qaitaby. More about this place in the next post.
