Hello Instagram, allow me to introduce myself on my birthday.
My name is Mark Meyer, I'm a fun loving tree hugger from long island New York. I've always loved electronic music and the freedom of love and expression that flourishes there. I'm a proud Leo, squad leader, and world traveler. I love people, green technology , restorations and helping nature stay beautiful. 8 years ago someone threw me a curveball and I knocked it out of the park. Travel channel brought me to host Baggage Battles; to travel the world, share my personality, my knowledge and love for lost and unclaimed items. As my 4th season neared completion I did something crazy. In January I flew one way west around the world by myself. It took three months and when I finally came home from that trip and looked back on the last 8 years.... it's been quite a ride. 22 countries later, my passport does not Express what those stamps mean. I have wonderful &kind friends all over this world. . 6 continent's later I'm humble, open minded, and loving individual. I am truly grateful to share this with you. Don't ever let people stop you, do not listen the inner voices who pull you back(we all have them) I've had countless encounters of doubters, naysayers and lots and lots of failures and set backs. Find your strength and don't stop. You are capable, deserving, and worth your dream and much more. Believe in yourself and others will see that fire and help you get there. The fact that you are still reading shows you don't give up easily and I implore you to live your best life.
Today we’re feeling very grateful to see Expedition BBQ finally air in the US. This experience reminds us of how cooking over fire connects us around the world, regardless of religion, culture or race. One of those dinners where I just cooked like crazy and made to order a feast for my guests. Fresh tomato mozzarella salad, roasted tomato ricotta crostini, @harrysberries microgreen salad with toasted pistachios, fava bean fennel salad with amalfi lemon vinaigrette, fresh homemade pappardelle with San Marzano tomato sauce, whole roasted branzino, steamed broccoli crowns, Greek potatoes and 5 types of cheeses, courtesy of @annebzink.
