Edible upcycling is core to Regrained’s business model— they use spent grain, aka the grain remaining after 🍻 is brewed into a nutritious Supergrain! + each bar is wrapped in planet-friendly backyard compostable wrappers. #biodegradable#zerowaste
So, if you’re in the mood for a snack that’s both delicious and sustainable, check out @regrained (my favorite is the Blueberry 🌻flavor). Let me know what you think! 😋

I'm pretty lucky to have a pup that loves #plogging as much as I do 😄
All this trash was scattered along a couple hundred meters of a popular walking trail near my house. Cara and I picked up what we could carry but unfortunately had to leave a lot of garbage behind. Good thing we take this trail often so we can pick up more next time!
Not literring and picking up trash are really easy ways to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem 🌍🌎🌏 Have you ever gone plogging?
We’ve always been very passionate about traveling and finding each other during our master’s course was a serendipitous moment.
Even though we had many differences, we found the perfect travel partner in each other. We stay in different cities and often loose ourselves in the hustle and bustle of city work life but our travel plans always keep us going.
One of the things that has always troubled us , is how beautiful corners of this world get trashed and the local communities are disrespected. We have to become mindful travellers and leave the place better than we found it.
So we are trying to be better, more mindful traveller by minimising the waste we create in these beautiful places and try and reuse, recycle or composte any trash we create.
Zero waste travel is not convenient but with the start of our first trip in Mcleod-Ganj we are trying to identify the road blocks for zero waste travel and be better prepared for the next trip and set hopeful travel trends.
Comment below if you have ever tried zero waste travel and share your experiences.
Ooh it’s seriously blowy out there! I feel like I’ve been sandblasted 💨😆 Got a good bagful of bits though, these @2minutebeachclean bags are so good, you can shove so much in them! Always room for a little more 👍🌊
We love 💙 #curacao but unfortunately there is very much litter all over the island 🌴. Is there anyone who knows a plogging or litterpicking group on #korsou that have a cleanup this weekend? Please let us know in the comments below 💬

The blog... it’s alive!! I know its been a while (emphasis on a while), but now that I’m in the new place I feel like I’m ready to get back in the swing of things!
So I kicked it off with how I’m going to have a zero waste Halloween!
From decor, to costumes, and snacks, there are ways to lessen your trash output this holiday season. Because while nothing is scarier than litter and piles of trash eroding our beautiful earth, I prefer my spooks from scary movies and dogs in ghost costumes.

You most likely know that #plasticpollution is a huge issue but the problem feels deeper than the ocean itself, right! Maybe you want to help but you don't know where to start. If so, make your way to @lesswaste_morelove today. I'm sharing all about how a beach cleanup can be a fun way to get your feet wet and ease you into doing a bit more for the environment. Ok I'm done with the water puns! But in all seriousness I’d love if you would take a look! And also join me live at 6pm @lesswaste_morelove to talk about doing a cleanup and some cool resources I’ve designed to help you with that!
A few years back I drastically cut back on purchasing new things. At one point I furnished 85% of my apartment with things I found in the alleyway or second-hand store and didn’t buy clothing for a year. This was a good thing and I continue most of these practices still.
However, one thing has been missing. Fun and celebrations. I couldn’t figure out how to celebrate typical holidays without contributing to our trash issues.
This year, I’ve committed to joy and celebrations while also keeping my waste low.
The things you see here are ones I rescued from going into the trash. The rollers from my gym, the foam packaging from my neighbors move and the box from a rare shipment of vitamins I just got. Over the next few days I’m going to use these plus the #dove soap boxes I’ve accumulated over the past year to make #Halloween decorations. I’ll probably use a #sharpie and make my own stains with coffee and old #charcoal bars too. It’s all an experiment. Most importantly though, I’m finding joy in the process rather than thinking solely about efficiency.
Happy #impactday everyone! I was able to get involved with the community and do my part in cleaning up our wild spaces. This is a good start to @keepnaturewild’s fall term as a #wildkeepers mentor. While you look at these photos, please understand that this is a huge issue. Not only in our wild spaces, but also our local parks, beaches, and neighborhoods. Change starts with us. We are able to make small strides which creates a bigger impact. Be mindful when you are out and about! If you see trash on the ground, pick it up and throw it away🙂
Also, wanted to say thank you to @trashfreeearth for hosting their trail clean ups. It’s always fun to get together with like-minded people, working together towards a great cause! The entire group collected a little over 3,000 lbs total! Thank you @minimalisttrailrunner for setting up another successful event. You are inspiring! And thank you to my friend, @beng.gallardo for joining me. Check out their IG page and website for their next trail clean up♻️🙌🏼🌎
Cheers to our first @keepnaturewild Fall term #ImpactDay ! ♻️ I couldn’t help but notice trash laying around and stashed in the bushes at Seven Magic Mountains during our visit, so it kind of put a damper on my first experience being there. But, I absolutely love being a #WildKeeper (& mentor) and being involved with so many amazing, like-minded people who love the Earth just as much. 🌎 The positive energy that everyone gives off (while cleaning up other people’s trash) is so contagious and the fact that we’re all leading by example and contributing to something bigger than ourselves is awesome. It gives me so much hope and such a warm & fuzzy feeling. 🤗 I also love this time of year. 🍂 The nice little chill in the air, can finally sleep without the AC on, it’s finally “sit around the camp fire” season, also at the fact that it’s going to be climbing season again (my favorite) and you don’t completely sweat buckets while you hike! 🍁 #WildKeepers#KeepNatureWild#NurtureOurNature#SevenMagicMountains#HikersWithHelpingHands#LetsKeepItWild#LeaveNoTrace#RespectAndProtect
We are on #curacao at the moment to visit all the places and people we enjoyed here when we lives on the Island 5 years ago. While snorkelling this afternoon we found lots of small pieces of plastic floating around. We will search for a small net tomorrow to make ‘catching’ the piece of plastic easier and faster. Does anyone has any other tips for collecting sea waste efficiently? Please share them below in the comments.
Our Tuesday Trashless Tip is Go Green this Halloween. Honestly do I think kids and families are going to sort out and recycle candy wrappers? No but passing out a less waste candy is a tiny step in the right direction. More ideas on our Trash Free Trick or Treat blog- link in our bio.
We are currently recruiting for Trash Free Earth Captains to join our team. TFE Captains provide leadership, guidance, and ensure the safety of the volunteers at our cleanups with the help of other captains. -
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about creating change in their community and strongly believe in our mission. If you are interested in learning more about the role and/or applying click the link (bit.ly/tfecaptains) in our bio (@TrashFreeEarth).
Feel free to comment below or DM us if you have any questions.
For those who already applied, thank you for your interest. You will receive an email from us tomorrow. 🤗
Thank you all for your support. 💚 #TrashFreeEarth#BeTheChange#LeaveNoTrace#PackitinPackitOut#Leaveitbetter#Sangabrielmountains
Beautiful walk today, one bag and one #finditfillit bucket 👍 These are for you @makelitterpickingcool #pladewithmlpc 👊Also bumped into an IG friend who I haven’t met in real life before - hello Lara and Tilly! 👋🐕Lovely to meet you 💙 4 bottles for #pickup1million ♻️
Someone littered the litterpicker!! 🤦🏻♀️ Found abandoned on the beach, no one in sight that may have put it down and forgotten it. It’s now safely back in the @2minutebeachclean board where it belongs. 🌊💙
A grey seal called Lucky Star has finally had ghost net removed from around his neck that he’s been dragging around since May!! 😲 The poor thing was spotted months ago but rescuers hadn’t been able to get close to him until now. Fantastic work from @bdmlr_uk. 🙌👏🙌This photo shows a piece of rigid plastic that could easily get stuck on a seals head. It only takes one piece of trash to cause harm so every piece we pick up makes a difference 👊✊🙌💙 #2minutebeachcleanfamily#barefootarmy#keeponkeepingon
