I don’t know about you all, but I don’t know what I’d do without my dog! Living a zero-waste lifestyle with a pet can be hard, but we do the best we can! Cooper’s food comes from @openfarmpet in bags that we can recycle with @terracycle, we give him baths with a dog shampoo bar from @mollymurielalchemy instead of using shampoo in a plastic bottle, and his favorite toys come from @honestpetproducts. We repurpose bags to pick up 💩 on walks, and in the spring, I plan to build an in-ground animal waste composter! Do you have pets? What are some of your tips and tricks for keeping it low waste? 🐶🐱🐷🐔🐴🦎🐠🦜 📸: @chiseled_glutes
Sometimes you find litter at the parks or trails where you’d least expect it. It’s a good idea to keep trash bags in your car or bring them along even when you visit a park or trail that’s usually spotless.
Thank you so much Spar for this wonderful treat for me to fish out of the water today 😣. I really enjoyed having to wade into freezing water to remove your trash from our beaches.
Perhaps other forms of promotion would be more suitable... I am pretty sure we can all live without balloons... I genuinely don't think anyone would care if they didn't have a Spar balloon in their life! 🙄🐚🐠🐟🐾
Earlier today I had the humbling opportunity to join in (yet another) clean-up hosted by @bolsachicacon, @unitedbyblue and @rei 🌎 Each of these volunteer events are so incredible and eye-opening! Together, in a little over two hours, we collected a total of close to 412.5 lbs of trash from all over the ecological reserve and wetlands. 🤗 Have I mentioned that I love how humbling these events are! But, every time I’m out helping pick up trash, I feel all sorts of emotions when I see how much trash is really out there... it’s truly helped me realize the things that I can change in my daily routine to be more eco-friendly and cut-out single use items (straws, chip and snack wrappers, plastic utensils, to-go containers, etc.). However, I do understand it’s not for everyone... I used to ask myself ‘what are “they” doing as a solution?”, but since I’ve been more involved and truly have found a passion for it, I’ve began asking myself ‘what can “I” do to contribute to the solution?’. Hence, why I enjoy spending time with others who love nature and taking the time to clean up our beautiful planet. 😊🚯♻️🐳🐠🐙🏖 #BlueMovement#KeepNatureWild

Recycling one aluminum can save enough electricity to power a TV for three hours, and aluminum cans can be recycled an unlimited number of times. Recycling a ton of glass saves the equivalent to 9 gallons of oil. Increasing steel recycling by 50% would save the energy equivalent to 7 nuclear power plants. These statistics show just how important recycling really is, and how much we need to ramp it up.
Every single use disposable spoon and fork we threw out still exists somewhere.
Have you ever thought about how much plastic we produce?

Cheers to our last #WildKeepers#ImpactDay for this Fall Term! 🙌🏼 Have I mentioned how much I love the @thewildkeepers and @keepnaturewild community? I haven’t really had a chance to get out as much as I’d like to, to do clean-ups with work, school and now since it’s finals week... but I went on a short walk the other day at work and collected this. It may not seem like much, but remember that every piece of trash you pick up represents an opportunity - an opportunity to change the way things are consumed and designed. Or an opportunity to bring mindfulness for change in our habits as an individual and as a community. 🚯 It’s been a really great (and sometimes crazy) term. I look forward to continuing to spread awareness, learning more for myself, educating others and taking action! ✊🏼🌎♻️🤗 #KeepNatureWild#NurtureNature#24HoursOfReality#LetsKeepItWild
During the first rainfalls in Indonesia, rivers, guts and streams spew out plastic trash along with everything on its path. This video was filmed in Majalaya in Kabupaten Bandung and has gotten national attention since. All this plastic has ended in the Citarum River and is now on its way to the ocean... The Indonesian army and community groups are working to control the situation #citarumharum ✌🏻🌊 @beachcleaner.de wrote about #citarum river in her book #kidsfortheocean one of the dirtiest river on this planet...
Join us for the next #LitterFreeLV meet up on December 15th! Let’s clean up the River Mountains Loop Trail in Henderson with @getoutdoorsnv! 🚯 Registration required. Tag a nature lover you want to bring along 🏜🧡
This is to all the volunteers who join us at our cleanups. Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do together as a team. We appreciate all of our volunteers! Thank you for donating your time to help care for our beautiful earth. 🙏🌎💚

If you see a guy carrying a kid's bike and a bag of trash, be not alarmed Sandpoint. Just a wild hair, turned into a obsession. Within 3 hours I found an entire bag of trash on a walk around town. Mostly cigg butts #thesebuttsdrivemenuts but a few keepers, including a frisbee disk, that bike, other trinkets. A few people helped me collect some visible trash along the way, which was awesome. @randopeople . No gloves, much loves. Dirty people cleaning up the streets. #wecameweshoveledwecameagain#streetsweeper#hugalifty#toolit#trashfreeearth#trashmonster
