Die Schultermuskulatur (gerade die vordere Schulterpartie) ist in allen drück-Übungen involviert, deshalb ist es wichtig, sich mehr auf die seitliche und hintere Schulter zu fokussieren. Um das Muskelwachstum zu fördern solltet ihr einen höheren Wiederholungsbereich wählen, auch um das Verletzungsrisiko weitestgehend zu minimieren. Da sich die Delts schnell regenerieren, könnt ihr in den Isolationsübungen regelmäßig bis zum Muskelversagen trainieren.

Regrann from @andri_instagram -  Saya sering menegur pelari yang melakukan easy run atau long run dengan pace yang cepat. Terus terang saya memang termasuk orang yang bawel untuk meminta pelari berlari pelan-pelan saja.

Foto di atas saat saya bersama teman-teman long run di area car free day, Jakarta, pekan lalu. Kami long run dengan conversational pace atau yang akrab disebut "pace curhat". Kami long run nonstop dan sambil ngobrol aneka topik. Dua teman long run saya punya PB 10K sekitar 50 menit. Tapi saat itu kami long run dengan pace 7.00-7.10.

Apakah pace tersebut tidak terlalu pelan untuk kami? Tidak. Long run/easy run bertujuan membangun endurance. Dalam running science, kecepatan seringkali tak dibutuhkan saat membangun endurance. Bahkan kecepatan bisa merusak proses membangun endurance itu sendiri.
.
Karenanya, berlatihlah sesuai tujuan. Saatnya harus berlari lambat maka berlarilah dengan easy effort. Seorang teman dari Afrika berujar, "Anda akan sulit berlari cepat kalau tak mau berlari lambat."

Tapi saat itu kami long run dengan pace 7.00-7.10. . Apakah pace tersebut tidak terlalu pelan untuk kami? Tidak. Long run/easy run bertujuan membangun endurance. Dalam running science, kecepatan seringkali tak dibutuhkan saat membangun endurance. Bahkan kecepatan bisa merusak proses membangun endurance itu sendiri. . Karenanya, berlatihlah sesuai tujuan. Bands 101. I always thought bands were just something powerlifters used to break through "sticking points". Man was I wrong, @hypertrophycoach showed me the light!! I now incorporate them as much as possible into my training.

Basically the bands act like a spotter. The way I have them set up, they provide around 40-50 lbs of "help" at the bottom of the the rep (where you're the weakest) but as you can see, by the end of the rep the bands are completely slack (where you're the strongest). So while the set isn't "all you bro", it's a much more efficient way of loading the muscle through the whole range of motion.  Instead of using 150lbs for say 6-10 reps, you can use 200 lbs with the same reps.
If hypertrophy is your goal, ego should be thrown out the door. Use weight as a tool and move it with your damn muscles, not with momentum.  Warmup set shown for reference, but form doesn't change!

Okay. All the bits are falling into place for stepping it up in terms of what we can do. Esme is fit and strong, I'm good and plenty of exercises are becoming really easy. For example, I don't school a ton of half pass as it's more a way to check where you're at as opposed to building collection, but lately I've been asking for more trot and canter half passes and she really shines! Her just slides on over sideways like it's no big deal. Esme's typically supple like a snake. 🐍

But I'm stuck in this mental rut where I don't think I'm good enough to train Ezz to perform flying changes.  Of all the awesome training and incredible experiences I've had, I've never helped horses learn how to do a change. I've ridden horses who knew them and horses who weren't yet there in their journey. But I'm not as familiar with the middle ground of introducing them and finding the way through it. This one damn thing holds me back and I'm annoyed by it. More recently I've been dipping my toe in and asking her to give it a try. We'll figure it out. Wish us the best of luck.

Cannonball for small bases :-)
Hearing 1000 times that I am to small for a base, pushed me to learn tricks like cannonball and dynamics. Seems like with a little technique you can manage those as well.
Due to our small height difference it works better for us with this grip, we only had to change the handstand a little bit. 
You can always overcome limitations with creativity! 
We both prefer to train and watch creative tricks instead of the more common tricks which every couple with a 2:1 weight difference does. 
So never listen to people telling you that you are to small or tall or weak. Train hard and stay creative in your training

I never understood why people have the idea that they need to restrict themselves from enjoying food just because they wanted to drop a few pounds. -
I mean let me ask you this if your trying to lose weight and your doing it feeling miserable about the food your eating and completely hate it what makes you think your going to want to it everyday?
But instead what if you were able to enjoy food with family, friends, coworkers all while still losing weight? Yea I’m pretty sure that’s more enjoyable to do everyday 😂 but that’s just me. -

36 weeks and 2 days...and still at it! I actually just started a new program you can see in the wall. This is such a HUGE difference from my last pregnancy . With Kayla I had been an athlete my whole life and so I trained like one and pushed myself to hard and ended up with back pain, and hip pain which forced me to stop working out around 35 weeks. This time around I got smarter...still training like an athlete just a smarter one focused on exercise to help me with pregnancy mostly back of body exercises since my body is constantly being pulled forward by my baby bump and for the most part I feel great! Dua perempuan di atas, Magda dan Nova, punya cerita yang mirip. Mereka sama-sama baru saja menyelesaikan maraton pertamanya. Mereka sama-sama punya tugas domestik, mengurus rumah tangga, dan karir di luar rumah. Magda adalah eksekutif perusahaan oil & gas, sedangkan Nova salah satu pemilik studio kebugaran SweetSweat.

Mereka mulai berlatih sekitar 16 minggu sebelum lomba. Tapi karena kesibukannya mereka kadang tak latihan. Magda disibukkan dengan kepindahan kantornya, sedangkan Nova harus puasa ramadhan dan juga buah hatinya yang butuh perhatian lebih. Tapi mereka pantang menyerah, selagi ada kesempatan mereka tetap berlatih di tengah kesibukan dan keterbatasan waktu. Bahkan Magda bersikeras tetap long run sejauh 30K meskipun sudah di luar periodisasi. "Penting buat mental saya," katanya ngotot waktu itu.

Kegigihan terbayar. Mereka bisa menyelesaikan maraton tanpa "derita dan drama". Magda finis 5.10 di Gold Coast Marathon dan Nova finis 5.21 di Pocari Sweat Bandung Marathon. Semua sesuai prediksi dan diterima dengan happy. Tak ada rasa kapok, bahkan Magda sedang mencari lomba maraton yang pas di tengah liburan bersama keluarganya. Sedangkan Nova mau memperbaiki catatan HM-nya dulu. Latihan senang-senang, lomba pun senang-senang.
