I love Sunday’s at home. Chili was in the crockpot, I made banana muffins for the week, cut up and cleaned our fruit for the week. Did some cleaning, and a little work. Now some healthier chocolate chip cookies are in the oven and we’re starting a new Netflix series. “The haunting of the hill house” have you watched it yet?! I’ve heard it’s so good!

They are, in fact, my favorite part of life.
And the thing about moments is not everybody realizes how quick they come and go.
Like this photo. This photo was a moment in time. A quick capture of strength and stillness that left almost as quickly as it came.
And I love it with all my heart.
And the same goes for moments with people.
Moments where a flicker of love illuminates somebody's eyes without their knowledge.
A moment when laugh lines decorate somebody's face and brings them to life.
A moment when everything is calm in your soul and you feel like you're completely at ease. Like a calm ocean lit up by the moon.
The thing is, reality can sometimes kill these things. These feelings that we all have and yet feel the need to bury so as to not disrupt the everyday.
But they're still what we all live for.
Those brief encounters that reminds us just how beautiful a human connection can be.
Embrace these moments. Soak them up and let them envelope you when you get the opportunity.
Because nothing in the world sets a soul on fire quite like those little sparks that lit it in the first place.

Took my long run through Canada this morning during the Detroit Free Press Marathon. 🇺🇸🇨🇦 It was a chilly one, especially while running by the water, but this scenic route was simply amazing. We ran across the Ambassador Bridge, went through the Windsor-Detroit tunnel, ran around Windsor (city in Ontario, Canada), and also hit up Belle Isle and the Riverwalk. The Canadians hands down had the best crowds. I couldn’t really understand what they were shouting, but hearing the Canadian accents everywhere made me grin so big. 😄 Today’s long run felt incredibly strong given the state of my tired legs. 💪 Yes, I had my low points during the race that I had to coach myself through, but overall I am extremely happy with how it went. I crossed the finish line and had one thought cross my mind 👉I think I might be able to pull off this PR that I’ve been working so darn hard for @ CIM!!!! I finally found some confidence today. 🙏♥️ And for that, I am grateful. It’s been a tough 3 weeks and I ended this week with 71.2 miles. 😱 I’m looking forward to a cutback week next week (cutting mileage/recovery), but I’m now even hungrier to get those final weeks of really hard work under my belt before the official taper is on!!!!! I’m coming for you, CIM! ...................................................................
On another note 👉 loved that this race started downtown Detroit so my fam bam could enjoy some MGM time! Even if it was 7 in the morning. ♣️ 🍺 Our best effort at a selfie at 4am on pic #2 . 😘

Wow you guys. Yesterday’s Fit Into Fall event was phenomenal. Partnered with @class_studios, @territoryfoods and @lululemon for our final event of the season and we couldn’t have asked for the most perfect weather. Thanks to our friends at @eastciders, @phoenixregen, @socialblueprintsdfw and @hailmerrysnacks for coming out. We can’t wait to plan some amazing events for 2019 and can’t thank this community enough for showing up to sweat!

Literally less than a minute & you’ve got fresh, light, & creamy homemade whipped cream!!
There are a ton of recipe options out there but I’m excited to play around & create my own using cleaner ingredients!
While I do love my Sugar Free Cool Whip, the Whipped Cream Maker from Pampered Chef is a winner!!
Here’s my recipe:
- 8oz Horizon Organic Heavy Whipping Cream, Ultra-Pasteurized - 1 tsp Simply Organic Madagascar Vanilla Extract Non-alcohol
- 1 tbsp Swerve All-Natural The Ultimate Sugar Replacement Confectioners
Place all in Whipped Cream Maker in the order listed. Pop the pump on & get to it for 30-60 seconds!!
Ta da! My fav way to enjoy is with my sugar free strawberry jello!!
