Pushed my body to its limits yesterday with the Tushars Mountain Runs!
Started the run with a beautiful sunrise. Received a warm mountain goat welcome at Delano Peak. Ascended and descended almost 14,000 ft with an average elevation of over 10,000 ft. Passed beautiful emerald lakes and waterfalls. Made new friends. Got hailed on. Then it was 90 degrees. Then came the muscle cramps. I kept going. The cramps went away. The feeling of gratitude for an adventure-filled day in the mountains stayed with me all 11 hours 53 minutes.

Luisa Rivas, also known as @lacorredora65, is a role model to many, and we’re lucky enough to call her our friend.
Our July runner of the month, Luisa exemplifies what we’re all about: staying committed, dedicated and goal oriented even when the odds are against you!
Luisa, thank you for allowing us to choose you and for gracing us with your time and presence as we got to know you a little more.
You’ve proven to us that you’re truly beautiful both inside and out, and that all it takes to live a happy and fulfilled life is just a little patience and and a whole lot of love! We thank you for that! ❤️
Who will be our August runner of the month? Find out on September 1st!
Happy August Anytime Runners!
We’d like to welcome the new month by announcing our July runner of the month, Luisa Rivas (@lacorredora65)!
Many of you may know Luisa as an integral and inspiring part of the Los Angeles running community, but we want you to know just a few of the reasons why we chose her and what makes her more than just a runner.
Luisa is a strong, courageous mother who puts her children first and foremost, even ahead of running.
Luisa has inspired many other people, both men and women, to find the balance necessary to maintain their personal life while working to achieve their goals.
Did we mention that we also love the way she sets big goals for herself and achieves them with full force?
Luisa does it all with a pure heart and a drive to give more than she receives.
Please slide left on the post above to read a brief autobiography by Luisa, then see the post following this one for some photos from a recent photo shoot Luisa blessed us with.
Who will be our August runner of the month? Find out on September 1st! 😊

Ringing the bell at the finish line of Palisades 100. #allthefeels
A very unexpected first place win over ultra legend Pam Reed, and a push to the finish with an extra 10 hrs of unexpected trail time. This 100 miles is the hardest race I have done to date. With a finishing rate of only 25%, seeing that finish line was the loveliest part of my weekend!! I couldn’t have done this with out my behind the scenes man @kettlebell_junkie . You believe in me more than I do myself.
Thank you @palisadesultra For creating an event that made me learn and grow! You are lovely people!! #firstplacefemale#PUTS#37 :50😱#palisades100#postcardscenery#whatpowersyou#Progenex @progenex #taperup#trailmanners#wasatchwranglers @wmwranglers
