Things2Consider #24 – Driving can be great fun when armed with the right attitude (and often Audible)! I spent a ton of quality time in my car (AKA: The White Pearl) this week while visiting with a number of valued California clients. After much strategic traffic-avoidance planning, I was Initially off to Anaheim and truckin’ right along. Much to my surprise, the traffic came to a dead stop near Camp Pendleton and I then proceeded to stop-and-crawl and stop-and-crawl for about an hour. I’m confident I could have gotten out and pushed my 6,000 pound car faster! Anyway, I only went about 2 ½ miles and then saw the accident that caused the traffic … and let’s just say I was GRATEFUL to have the opportunity to SAFELY sit in traffic while ALIVE. The next day, I was off to Delano (of course you’ve all been to Delano right? HA!). Again, my strategic traffic-avoidance plan was foiled as I sat in more stop-and-crawl traffic all the way through LA. But, I took the opportunity to listen to my Halloween playlist (about 7 hours of Halloween jams people!) and had a great time singing (very badly I might add), but having fun nonetheless. After my meeting in Delano, I was off to Fresno. While driving to Fresno, I saw a super wacky plum-colored forklift car thingy that I managed to snap some photos of for sharing. Anyway, I continued to entertain myself endless and even did quite a lot of car lip-syncing and car theater. This is where I sing along to songs in a super animated way that likely makes me look like a manic while driving, but who cares (perhaps a video of this soon to follow). Long story shor….long, I am happy I can find ways to make peace with commuting and traffic and whatever else, since these things are entirely out of my control. The only thing I CAN control is my attitude about them.
If there is something you do in your car to entertain yourself, do share! #things2consider#audible#commuting#chooseyourattitude#traffic#anaheim#delano#fresno#forklift
This traffic is killing me. I did see some cops escorting a guy to a patrol car by the Slauson Blue Line Station. One of the cops had a machete and a trash bag. I guess it belonged to the guy getting escorted to the patrol car. 🚔🔪🤷🏽♀️ #traffic#southcentral#losangeles
