Story time! In August my mum took her grandson for a two night hotel stay in Toronto with all sorts of fun planned. Their trip was interrupted when a man assaulted them at Yonge & Dundas square. He targeted them, knocking my nephew into traffic and my mom into the curb, clotheslining her neck. Bystanders helped, tried to catch him, but he got away. Mum and my nephew ended up in the hospital to assess their injuries. My mum being at particular risk due to having life saving surgery only last October and still being somewhat fragile. Scared, they just wanted to cut their trip short & go home. The @torontopolice took care of them every step of the way. Thanks to video surveillance, they found him, and are charging him with aggravated assault based off of the injuries they sustained. The heart warming part of this whole ordeal is the Toronto Police asked my mom and Chris to come back for the weekend, treating them to a night at the @chelseahoteltoronto and a @bluejays game today. This morning these fine men picked them up and they went for a tour of 52 Division. And now they’re having a Blue Jays filled adventure! I know not everyone everywhere has positive experiences with the police or judicial systems. So I thought maybe it would be nice to know this little bit of magic is happening in Toronto right now. #torontostrong#the6ix#torontopolice#family#torontothegood#torontopoliceservice#52division#torontonews

So many images to share from this gorgeous fall morning run on #day27 Giant butterflies in the #humberbaybutterflyhabitat A Great Egret stalking breakfast #torontostrong still standing after last night’s wicked windstorm and spending the last half of my run picking up litter along the trail and out of the bushes as another community member sifted through garbage in the bay. Not captured... the farmers market in full swing and a fundraising fair for the @etobicokehumanesociety in the local park. And that was all within a 5.5k range! #runlikeagirl#runfortheloveofit#milesformollie#millionmiles4mollie#getoutside
Although I lost horribly, I had a great time last night bowling with the @uoitnursingcommunity in support of Danielle - one of the victims of the Danforth shooting and a fellow UOIT nursing student. Such a positive and inspiring individual! So much love ❤️ #danistrong#danforthstrong#torontostrong 💪 #nursingschool 👩🏻⚕️💉
