It’s #patiothursdayswithpatty time! This week we wanted to keep it current by trying a Summerlicious menu at @barbuca. Summerlicious, for those who don’t know, is a fixed price menu festival for foodies to check out restaurants around the city. Keep reading to learn more about this AMAZING spot.
As you can see, Bar Buca hit jackpot with a full five fires. We fell in love with their drinks, overall vibe and friendly service. Their patio is just off the sidewalk on a side street off bustling King St. Although it was busy, we never felt rushed or pressured to get out. Our server, Claudio, was a total gem of a human being. He was helpful, friendly and so accommodating. You could really tell that was just the vibe of the cafe.
The Summerlicious menu was such a great way for us to have a taste of their whole menu. We fell in love with the pomodoro appetizer, moscardini (octopus, which I’m picky about, but the group loved), gnocchi and beef short rib 🤤 ya I’m drooling as I remember.
What really blew us away was the Lambrusco (I think, it was labeled red sparkling wine and I’ve forgotten the name). It was our first time trying it and wow I could drink that stuff everyday on a patio for the rest of summer 😍🍷 it was fizzy, not too sweet, chilled red wine that is literally what dreams are made of. If I’m ever MIA, this patio is probably where you’ll fine me...
Before I end, want to give a huge shoutout to our special guest this week @nommratta for her witty, comedic and overall great company. Check her out for the next time you need some nail art inspo and as always, DM me if you more details on this week spot.
FINAL PLUG - #summerlicious is on until July 22, so you still have this weekend to check it out. Some of my other fav Summerlicious menus are at @cafebouludto and @harlemrestaurant if you’re trying to make a decision.
It’s been a warm, humid week in the city and my legs are tired from walking. The evening is my favourite time to walk in our neighbourhood. It’s cooled down a little and people are dining on patios, biking through the park, and wandering the sidewalks ice cream cones in hand. What does your neighbourhood look like on these summer evenings?

It contains vitamins B1, B2, B12 and C to ensure proper functioning of the heart, the conversion of carbohydrates into energy, cell growth and adequate production of red blood cells.
Maca root powder also contains four types of alkaloids, which are indirectly through hormone system responsible for the proper utilization of calcium and phosphorus in the blood.
