Prefer to take your impressions digitally? We are about creating the restorations and smiles you want and we equip our laboratory with the talent and equipment to make that happen. This clip shows how we design a restoration once an intraoral scan is sent electronically to the lab at email@example.com . We accept scans from many of the industry leaders such as Itero, 3 Shape, Sirona, Carestream and Planmeca.

Dr. Claire will be volunteering in Guatemala with Kindness In Action in February to help children in need of dental care. Until then, we will be collecting toys, clothes, sandals, and hats that will be donated to the children there!
SWIPE -> How often do you see people with a grey line and an unnatural crown? This is a single tooth treatment but sometimes these can be more challenging than a full mouth rehab. This was a unique case where the patient fractured right central at 10 years old. A root canal, post and crown was done with the assumption that prognosis was poor. 2 decades later, after Invisalign even, the tooth remains. Now it’s time for a redo of the crown and improve aesthetics. First, the old metal post had to vibrated out, the root canal redone, and the root internally bleached by @yorkhillendo. The rest of the teeth was then external bleached with @glosciencenyc to get to the desired shade. Since the post space was huge (first root canal at a young age), several fiber posts were cemented. Slight gingivectomy was done but no hard tissue alterations due to the already compromised root. Lastly, a new ceramic crown with the perfect balance between opacity to block out the remaining grey from the root and and translucency to match the neighboring teeth. White resin cement was used to further bring the value up. Could have been better as a super close zoom reveals areas where one could identify the crown but all things considering, a pretty good result. #aestheticdentistry#dentalcolor#prosthetics#endodontics#periodontics
People that smile and laugh a lot are generally happier, appear more confident, and more fun to be around.. lol. I know my hygienist and receptionist do because aside from being really bubbly personalites they have smile wrinkles in the corner of their eyes. If you have always been conscious about smiling, you may have a reserved smile. You are holding back the confidence to fully radiate your happiest self- which is you laughing and smiling. Theres actually people who know about smile wrinkles and consciously try to avoid smiling and laughing to avoid wrinkles and those are the people you should avoid too 😅. Ask your dentist how you can attain a smile better than you ever imagined!
Our patient today is about to receive his Panthera dental appliance for sleep apnea. If you are looking for an alternative to your CPAP machine, dental appliances have been shown to be affective for mild to moderate conditions of sleep apnea. They are far less cumbersome than a CPAP machine and they are very comfortable to wear. We work in conjunction with your sleep physician to be sure the appliance is working for you!
Have you noticed that your jaw gets stiff and tired when chewing? If so, you may be grinding or clenching your teeth, known as bruxism.
Stress, anxiety and lack of sleep can contribute to bruxism along with lifestyle factors like alcohol consumption, recreational drugs, and medications.
If you have been experiencing pain along the cheeks, ear and jaw, headaches, stiffness, interrupted sleep, or have noticed that your teeth are becoming shorter, book a consultation to assess if a night guard is recommended. Aside from wearing a night (mouth) guard, managing stress is key! We often refer our bruxism patients to therapists for massage, active release and acupuncture. *
We helped the prescribing Dr. with this patient’s requested full mouth restoration (almost all except for one molar) by fabricating emax (lithium disilicate) crowns for the upper and lower anteriors. For the posterior teeth, we went with monolithic zirconia crowns for aesthetics and functional challenges (bruxer). This will indeed be a dramatic transformation for this patient.
