And I write trying to recover our real memory, the memory of humankind, what I call the human rainbow, which is much more colorful and beautiful than the other one, the other rainbow." 052 - Picasso was born in Malaga, so naturally I had to visit the Museo Picasso Malaga. His work was truly inspiring. Seeing him start with his academic work in his early years, then slowly shifting to his personal style that we all know and love really defines how he began breaking barriers for the current art scene. Instead of trying to fight our way out of the systematic art world scene of "traditional" practices, we have his platform(along with many other greats) to begins immediately from a space of true and pure creativity with out any bounds. -
Having to create with out any guide line is actually quite difficult. When someone needs a design and says "Do what ever you want!" ☺️😄 The designer thinks... Thanks!! But, shit. Give me a little something to work with!? Lol. -
Defining my art style is something I've been working on and seeing Picasso work so hard to achieve and then push his work without any remorse is purely the raw energy I was hoping to absorb during this trip. Any ways, more to come. -
Warhol = Pop Art Master. This guy embroidering by hand = Thread Master. -

Well I suppose this was inevitable (drawing myself as a bird) 🐦 -
The truth is it all started with a bird that fell out of a tree. -Almost 4 years ago I was in the worst place in my life and I scribbled down this little bird falling out of a tree, devastated and weak and hopeless. Over the years I've gone through a journey drawing and painting birds. Exploring their strengths and vulnerabilities. How they can be misunderstood. What makes them romantic and tragic. And above all their representation of hope and freedom.
I'm excited about the bird I'll be painting next week. Because it's come a long way from that falling little bird.

My city lights, I feel too much when I look at you,
bright stars, the sun is crumbling at your gaze,
and you laugh, the world is falling around you,
Close the blinds, don't let the strangers see us,
turn off the lights, I only need to feel you,
broken dreams, who said you'd be sleeping tonight, with me.
Kiss me slow, but make it all over me,
getting drunk, only a little tipsy,
having fun, until one of us gets a broken heart, and departs.
My city lights, mesmerizing me,
keep on coming, the never ending kaleidoscopic energy,
your eyes, used to look into mine and I would fall for you again, not this time, it's a crime, you aren't mine.
My city lights, the nostalgia hits me,
the old roads, childhood memories hit me, again, I don't wanna feel too much, it's intoxicating, it hurts.
My city lights, and I don't miss you anymore.
