Fly me to the Philippines, I’m happy 🇵🇭 Let me spend the day in the sunshine, I’m grateful ☀️ Place me on a local boat with top company, I’m thrilled ⛵️ Ask me to jump into the sea, I’m ecstatic 🏝 And allow me to swim with the most majestic sea creatures alive, I’m one speechless girl🐋 Swimming with whale sharks in Donsol has been one of the highlight experiences of my life. Absolutely breathtaking. How a creature the size of a school bus can be so placid I truly don’t know. If you ever have the chance to swim with whale sharks in an ethical way, go for it!! These creatures really help to put life into perspective. How grateful I am to have experienced this. Here in the country I love most, with the people I love💙
One extra happy girl I am. So happy one could probably see my smile all the way from Australia🙈 Today, September 16, marks 25 months of travel in Asia. 25 months of living out my greatest dream. 25 months of life changing moments. Of self discovery. Of meaningful conversations. Of new cultures. New foods. New experiences. 25 months of learning from the book of life. Not a single day of travel in Asia has been the same as the last. Until now, this life feels like a fairytale. A dream that has continued on month after month. Despite being away for so long, my gratitude for every single day abroad remains. In fact, it grows stronger and stronger daily. This lifestyle is something I’ll never take for granted. To be here, in the Philippines. The country I’m so madly in love with. I simply can’t get enough!!
This weekend, it is this exact spot that is being hit the hardest by Typhoon Mangkhut. Philippines, our thoughts are with you 🙏 may you stay safe and may the skies clear quickly. 🇵🇭️ if you're living through the typhoon right now, comment and tell us about your experience.
All that time spent filming in the Philippines and we never saw a shabby banca*! 👌 Spent months trying to capture the colours of the water, the kindness of the people and the wonderful stories of Dreamcatchers that make us all want to continue the journey towards our dreams. *Banca is the filipino word for the traditional outrigger boats used across the country. Aren't they so pretty?
Shhh we’ve got to keep this place a secret!! CARAMOAN boasts it’s own unique set of diverse land formations, creating an absolute dream destination for island hopping. It could easily give El Nido a run for its money. And if you asked me, Caramoan would most likely win due to its undeveloped nature and remoteness. Of all the different islands, beaches & mountains we visited this day, just one location had some other boats around. Everywhere else was just like this. Pure seclusion & tranquility. Peacefulness as far as the eye could see. Jaw dropping nature to one side, and to the other, scenery that makes you want to cry tears of happiness. To say I was left speechless would be the understatement of the year. Caramoan you truly stole my heart. What a pleasure it was to share this day with two of my closest Filipino friends on a private boat. Taking in the beauty of each site without anyone else around. How grateful I am to experience days like this. Here in my favourite country. With some of my favourite people. In a complete and utter paradise. Oh Philippines, you’ve done it again.
Sometimes you need a few days in the city to really appreciate the islands again. And sometimes you need a nice high-rise accommodation in order to learn the art of time lapse photography. #citizensofeverywhere
