🌟🏕How we found some of our most beautiful camp sites.🏕🌟
When we travel we usually just go with the flow. We always have a few places in mind of where we would like to visit, but aside from that, we don’t plan much in detail. We often embark without reservations and have had some of our greatest adventures by just accepting what our journey provides us.
Last year we were wandering the Olympic Peninsula the week of Labor Day, and when we failed to find a campsite we stopped at a ranger station near Quinault Lake. The awesome staff there directed us to a profoundly beautiful location that was 13 miles down the winding mostly gravel road, and 2.5 miles on a beautiful and remote trail. All of the camp grounds on the peninsula were overflowing with people, but we were 15+ miles into the Quinault Rainforest with no one but each other, in one of the most beautiful places we have ever camped. •
Last week as we began our grand adventure, in true Live Life Lost style, we embarked with nothing planned and three destinations in mind; Badlands National Park, Grand Tetons National Park, and Yellowstone National Park.
Thanks to @Gary V’s $1.80 strategy, we connected with a fantastic photographer, @Kyle.Fredrickson. He recently visited the Tetons and was kind enough to hook us up with directions to another tremendous spot to camp. We arrived late last night but with the clear skies and the illuminating moon, we were able to see the incredible beauty that awaited us in the morning.
🏔 Welcome to the Grand Tetons! 🏔
We have been fortunate to find many amazing places along our travels, and we are sure to find many more. We love sharing glimpses of the beauty with you all through Instagram and Facebook, and we are excited to see so many following our journey. However, we can not stress enough how important it is to us that our journey serves more than our own sense of adventure. •
We have not been everywhere (yet) and we are not pros at any of this (yet), but if there is anything we can share with you to help your adventures, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We would be happy to pay Mr. Fredrickson’s kindness forward and offer guidance to beautiful locations.
Yosemite & Sequoia! Part 2!)) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sequoia & Yosemite? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
