I have grown up eating spicy food and also with the notion that Chinese food is bland and will never suit my taste buds.
There enters Din Tai Fung! Being a vegetarian at a Chinese restaurant would mean limited choices for me - I beg your pardon, this place is so refreshingly different. I ordered seaweed and beancurd for appetizers, the famous vegetarian dumplings (green to differentiate, interesting huh) and the veg fried rice along with a couple desserts (Red bean XiaoLongBao). Everything tasted so good! The chilli oil made the rice edible (read:spicy enough) for me. I left the place fully satiated with my experience. . .

They should seriously do something about the long long wait time to get in!
